  • Services: When it comes down to it, you’d want hairdressers to do more than just cut your hair. That’s why we’re on the lookout for hairdressers in Brisbane that offer plenty of services like cut and colour!
  • Location: No matter how good a hairdresser is, it’s all for nothing if you can’t find them right away! Thus, the ideal Brisbane hairdresser should be relatively easy to find!

With plenty of services like cuts for men and women and keratin treatments, Elysium Hair provides plenty of treatments for everyone who goes through their doors! And since they’re just a block away from Brisbane City Hall, they’re relatively easy to find, too!

Their services range from simple procedures like haircuts to more complicated ones like treating damaged hair to more extensive blow-drying procedures, making them more versatile.

Elysium Hair’s online booking process is also relatively simple. You can also choose the stylist who will do your hair on your appointment!

Elysium Hair’s treatments are pricier compared to what you’d expect to pay in Brisbane. Most of their services cost $50 to $60 more than the average. However, for that price, you also get complimentary drinks from them, which is a nice touch.

Elysium Hair doesn’t offer any service that’s unique to them, but they make up for it by having a luxurious ambiance. We have to give extra points to their cleanliness too, especially since they make sure to regularly clean their spaces.

Pros

  • Plenty of services
  • Matches your stylist to your tastes
  • Relatively easy booking process
  • Convenient location

Cons

  • Pricier treatments

We have to commend David Murry Salon’s stylists! They’re happy to guide you on what style will suit you the most! They’ll also guide you through the entire procedure process, especially complicated ones like the Seamless1 Keratin Smoothing Treatment.

Speaking of aftercare, David Murry Salon also provides great products that you can buy to maintain your hair better! They will cost a pretty penny since some of them are R+Co and Oribe Signatures, but it’s an all-in-one product that can help all hair types.

The only flaw we can find with David Murry Salon would be the fact that they’re closed from Sundays to Mondays, making scheduling a bit difficult. But they more than make up for it with their amazing services, so it all evens out.

We also suggest utilizing any of the promos that they have at any given moment! For example, as of the time of writing, they currently offer half off on their “Blonde Me Up” treatment which can turn you full blonde!

Pros

  • Gender neutral pricing
  • Stylists can guide you on things to do
  • After-care treatments available
  • Plenty of promos

Cons

  • Closed three days a week

If you’re an avid Harper’s Bazaar reader, then you might have seen them mention Paloma Roan for their dedication to adding sustainability to hairdressing. Though they do a stellar job at that, they do an even better job with their astounding service!

The first thing you’d notice with Paloma Roan is their convenient location – they’re right next to the local ALDI, This means that you can slip in a bit of your week’s shopping while getting your hair done – or the other way round!

For a shop that has been mentioned in several major publications we appreciate how Paloma Roan continues to offer their services for a relatively low price. For example, a full Balayage costs $290 to $410, which costs less than the $500 you’d usually pay!

After your treatment, Paloma Roan also offers plenty of aftercare products that you can use to maintain their cut! You can get Oway and Kevin Murphy products from their store cheaper than their usual price, making finding these rare products easier.

Although Paloma Roan does offer genderless pricing, they do not offer barber cuts yet. They will offer them eventually, so we suggest checking out their social media pages to make sure

Paloma Roan also has membership programs that you can apply in if you want to save money! But even if you’re not a member, keeping in touch with their social media pages can also net you some good discounts and even free treatments sometimes!

Pros

  • Affordable prices
  • Conveniently located
  • Shop offers plenty of aftercare products
  • Membership program offers plenty of perks

Cons

  • Does not offer barber cuts

Rixon Hair has provided stellar haircuts to Brisbanites for 25 years now! This is because, unlike other hairdressers in Brisbane, they’ve won several awards over the years, after all!

If you’re willing to pay at least $100 more for your haircut, then you can get it cut by Rixon Hair’s CEO Brad Rixon himself!

What we don’t like about Rixon Hair is that their prices aren’t fixed – it can fluctuate depending on your hair’s length, thickness, and colour.

Rixon Hair does make up for their inconsistent prices by having one of the cleanest salons in Brisbane we’ve seen yet! Add their professional staff into that, and you’re in for a sweet day out! aftercare

We also have to commend Rixon Hair for their online booking process! It’s relatively easy to navigate and book an appointment, and you can even set your preferred payment methods. They take Visa, Mastercard, and American Express to name a few,

Pros

  • Quality services
  • Chill atmosphere
  • You can get an exclusive haircut from their CEO
  • Plenty of payment methods available

Cons

  • Prices can vary

What we like the most about Hairzoom are their prices. Not only are they affordable, but you can even save some more money by utilising their many promos!

Hairzoom regularly runs promotions on their social media pages where you can get sizable discounts, either on their cuts or on the products on their store. As of the time of writing, you can get $100 worth of hair treatments if you buy a GHD Air Blowdryer!

Although Hairzoom’s treatments can take some time especially if you’re getting more complex treatments, they’ve partnered with The Espresso Doctor to give you a cup of coffee while you wait. They can only give out the Doctor Blend, but it’s tasty enough!

The only bit of inconvenience that we can find with Hairzoom is the fact that they’re closed on weekends, and that’s it. It’s a bit inconvenient for some, but they’re open for almost 12 hours on weekdays and it’s relatively easy to book an appointment with them.

Hairzoom can also help you out with any of your special events, too! You can hire them for their wedding package so that you can look prim and proper on your special day!

Pros

  • Plenty of exclusive promos
  • Affordable cuts for everyone
  • Serves coffee
  • Can help with personal events

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
