Staff from the door onwards were super friendly and helpful.

First time at the venue for Cameron Whitcomb line was massive but moved quickly. Staff from the door onwards were super friendly and helpful. Amazing venue with so much character, great sound & lighting techs. Amazing night!

Congratulations to the band and the venue; what a beautiful space

What a venue. The staff, the style, and the acoustic sound in this gem of a space is truly uplifting and creatively engaging and exciting. Visited this evening to see a band of the most talented musicians I have seen in a long time. B C N R; wow you guys. 🫶🏼

Customer Reviews

The venue was so accommodating and friendly.

I came here Friday for Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening and boy was I not let down. The venue was so accommodating and friendly. Every staff member I interacted with was not only friendly but went out of their way to help. During the show, security at the front handed out free bottles of water to anyone who needed it- that was a godsend for me! Of all the gigs and festivals I’ve been to around Australia, I’ve never seen that. I’m definitely returning to Fortitude Music Hall next time I’m in town!

The sound is always good and the staff are friendly

One of the best venues in Fortitude Valley. I’ve been to 5 different concerts at this venue and all were overall good experiences. Depending on the ticket and show there’s the balcony which is my personal favourite place to be to enjoy the show with a view but without being surrounded by a lot of people. The sound is always good and the staff are friendly

Housed inside a striking World War II hangar, The Triffid offers a relaxed blend of craft beer and loud rock.

This outdoor beer garden spot serves up delicious burgers, making it ideal for gathering friends before heading inside for the main act.

We appreciate that the hangar room holds sound remarkably well, giving every performance a punchy, energetic feel.

Actually, we spoke with a local promoter recently who rated them as one of Brisbane’s most reliable venues for breakout indie bands.  You can easily rent out private areas for celebrations too.

Just note that the mezzanine viewing deck uses stairs only, which might pose accessibility challenges for some visitors.

Pros

  • Unique converted WWII hangar space
  • Lively outdoor garden for food and drinks
  • Great food menu with tasty burgers
  • Excellent venue hire and event options

Cons

  • Mezzanine deck has stairs only

Fabulous atmosphere and wonderful music

Fabulous atmosphere and wonderful music.  Food could be better and a larger menu.

We were there for a Jeremy Loops concert.  Maybe be too control some of the patrons drinking as they were that loud toyota couldn’t hear the music for their yelling for no reason. Also might need to control the crowd better a few nearly had a punch up because of no regard for other patrons

The hall can hold a very decent amount of people

Great venue for concerts! The hall can hold a very decent amount of people but it can still make the event feel quite intimate with the artist.

Good selection of drinks at the bar and well security do a great job keeping everyone in order.

4. Lefty’s Music Hall

Website: https://leftysmusichall.com.au/

Address: 15 Caxton Street, Petrie Terrace

Hours: Wed 6:00 PM-11:00 PM; Fri-Sat 5:00 PM-2:00 AM; Sun-Thurs subject to Gig Guide & Ticketed Events

Walking into Lefty’s Music Hall feels like stepping straight into a classic Nashville saloon.  Velvet curtains, plush booths, and Americana decor set a wild tone for nights filled with live country, rock, and blues.

Their bar churns out fantastic signature cocktails alongside American comfort food, so you can snack while enjoying the show.

Another thing we like is the stellar lineup for casual dates or private party bookings that need extra flair.

We spent an evening here watching a blues trio, and the rowdy, fun atmosphere kept the dance floor packed all night.

Keep in mind that live sets get super loud in the tight space, so don’t expect quiet conversation near the stage.

Pros

  • Unmatched Western-inspired saloon decor
  • Great lineup of live music performances
  • Outstanding cocktails and tasty eats
  • Fun private function room hire options

Cons

  • Sound volume is too loud

They also serve tasty American-style bites, giving you fuel to survive intense headbanging sessions. Their local bands love playing here because the community support is genuinely unmatched.

Last week, we stopped by to catch an underground punk set, and the acoustic power in that tight room was absolute magic.
