Pros

  • Wide range of vegan food options
  • Offers catering services
  • Offers ready meals
  • Comprehensive menu – with specifications on the dietary requirements

Cons

  • Not open on weekends
  • Expect a high customer demand

One of the best vegan restaurants that deserves a highlight is Vege Rama. Since 2009, this plant-based dining spot has catered to a growing number of vegan food lovers.

It’s quite commendable how Vege Rama promotes a sustainable vegan food culture to support those who need further assistance in improving their good nutrition intake.

Another thing we love about them is that they offer packed ready-to-eat vegan meals – complete with biodegradable packaging. This makes Vege Rama a great option for those on-the-go.

Their food menu is not only limited to vegan meals, though. We admire to see a great selection of other offerings, including vegan desserts and cold-pressed drinks.

We also love that Vege Rama offers to change up their menu over the week – such great news to those who don’t want to consume the same meal every day! This also lets the restaurant explore other menu offerings for their valued clients.

On top of that, we like that they offer three serving portions to choose from. This allows us more flexibility in planning out our meal servings.

We’re quite impressed with how comprehensive their menu is. Aside from the prices, we can already see dietary requirements labeled on each food menu, for easier reference.

However, it’s worth noting that the restaurant is only open on weekdays. We suggest ordering from Vege Rama for any planned weekend consumption.

Pros

  • Straightforward menu, with enough selections
  • Extended operating hours on weekdays
  • Open seven days a week

Cons

  • Serving time can get quite slow
  • Does not accept bookings
  • Rates could be lower

A known burger joint that serves a 100% plant-based menu is Grassfed. What we like about them is that they have just enough selections on their menu, perfect for those who want to keep their vegan food options at bay.

They can be easily located in the lane, which is always a plus in our books.

It’s worth noting, however, that Grassfed has limited seating capacity. Because of this, the restaurant won’t be able to accept any bookings – both online and via their hotline.

In line with this, we also suggest to avoid going here during peak times. It may be best to visit them an hour before the twelve noon peak, for instance.

For those who can’t drop by the restaurant, ordering through various food delivery services such as Deliveroo and Menulog is an option! It’s a great way of avoiding longer queues, which we love.

Nonetheless, we like that the restaurant is open seven days a week. We even commend them for having extended operating hours on weekdays, allowing them to serve more clients.

Aside from their specialty plant-based burgers, they also offer vegan side dishes and vegan desserts. Perfect for those who are on-the-go, these quick healthy grubs definitely got some fans – yes, including us!

Pros

  • Ingredients sourced out from local producers
  • Wide range of vegan meals

Cons

  • Limited seating capacity
  • Slow serving time
  • Slightly overpriced

Another restaurant option for advocates of plant-based diets is Loving Hut. What we love about them is that they have a wide range of cuisine, with a selection of vegan meals to choose from.

We also like that they provide big serving portions, which makes them a good option for a group of friends or families dining in.

It’s worth noting, however, that the restaurant has limited seating capacity. Because of this, queueing is expected to take longer than usual.

We also find it unacceptable that their serving time is still relatively slow, even when they serve just a few customers.

On a lighter note, we admire these guys for supporting the local businesses and producers in town. With this, customers can have more peace of mind, knowing that all the ingredients used in their kitchen are all natural.

On top of that, customers also have an option to buy their goodies from their freezer. We love that we can take them with us to enjoy comfortably in our own home.

In terms of location, customers would not have a hard time finding their restaurant spot. They even have a lot of parking slots, which adds up to their overall accessibility.

All things considered, we think that with their wide menu selection and their remarkable client service, Loving Hut is definitely worth a shot!

Cons

  • Some reports of slow service
  • Rates are a bit premium

Another vegan restaurant that serves plant-based meals across Brisbane is You Came Again.

Booking for a table is relatively easy through their website. Customers can also immediately see the availability just by selecting their chosen date and time.

For those who would want to skip the queue, we like that You Came Again provides a pickup service option when ordering online. There’s even a complete menu selection, making it more convenient for customers to see their full line up – all in a single page.

On top of that, big groups of family and friends can even enjoy ordering a good range of healthy food packs – perfect for sharing while on-the-go.

Another thing we appreciate about these guys is how they thought of creating vouchers to get new people to try out their brand. We think that this continuously helps them grow their current client base.

What’s great about You Came Again is that they can also host exclusive parties, which allows customers to fully customise their healthy, plant-based meals. This is also their way of introducing the vegan world to everyone else, which we commend.

It should be noted, however, that You Came Again deals with a high volume of customers on a daily basis. This results in a much slower pace in serving food to their customers.

Pros

  • Meals crafted from original recipes
  • Accommodating staff
  • Serves huge portions

Cons

  • Few reports on needing to improve food quality
  • Limited operating hours during weekdays

Yavanna has been a known player in the vegan world across Brisbane. What made them attract their current loyal clientele is their home made meals that came from their family’s original and most-loved recipes.

During our first visit, we loved how we immediately got their staff’s attention. We find them accommodating and friendly – they even walked us through the menu when they knew it was our first try.

Their food portions did not disappoint either. We like how big their serving portions are, which makes them a good option for those who will come in groups.

Those who will come with their friends will also enjoy their product offerings. Apart from their plant-based menu, it’s good to know that they also have alcoholic beverages and mocktails in time for their happy hour.

It’s worth mentioning that the restaurant has only limited operating hours on weekdays – and they’re even closed on a Monday. Because of this, Yavanna would not be the best choice for those who would want plant-based meals on a daily basis.

We also have our reservations when it comes to the restaurant’s proximity to the city. Nonetheless, because of the great service and wide selection of food, the 40-minute commute seems to be worth it.
