Another thing we like about them is that the doctors in Eye Health Centre are continuously studying and researching to be more comprehensive and advanced in their respective fields. 

On top of that, we commend that they provide great pre- and post-operative patient care. This also tells us that their specialties have been backed up with years of experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding.

Another thing we like about them is that they give broad explanations that can also be read on their website. Because of this, necessary details can be reviewed in our own time and convenience.

However, we’ve noticed that they have limited details about their booking process and even transportation directions to their clinic. It would be more helpful if they could provide additional booking links and clinic accessibility information. 

Another ophthalmologist that deserves to be on our list is Dr. Matthew Russell from VSON Laser Vision Specialists. For 15 years, he has been improving people’s lives with remarkable service that includes transparency, communication, and approachability.

We commend the calm atmosphere in the clinic, which allows us to feel more relaxed as we patiently wait for our turn. We’re even impressed with the modern and premium vibe of their clinic, adding a good initial impression.

At this clinic, they thoroughly explain each procedure, collaborating with the patients throughout the consultation process. This helps clients feel more at ease, knowing what steps are being done while they are laying on the treatment bed. 

What’s great about them is that they have a wide range of eye surgery options, such as LASIK, SmartSight laser eye surgery, and TransPRK eye surgery. 

We’re quite impressed how their resident ophthalmologists would evaluate every client’s condition. They would even suggest the best eye surgery option that would fit the patient.

On top of that, clients rave about VSON’s quick eye surgery procedure, which can only take under an hour. This tells us that patients can immediately rest after spending a few minutes in the clinic.

Even better, down time is also expected to be shorter, allowing patients to go back to their regular routines sooner than later.

However, we’ve encountered some slow responses from their client service team. We suggest calling them instead for urgent appointment requests or queries.

All things considered, given the clinic’s wide range of surgery options and quality patient care, we still think that VSON is worth a shot.

With decades of providing specialised diagnosis and treatment to patients, Dr. Mark Donaldson from Terrace Eye Centre should be on this list.

For starters, we like how he gives straightforward but reassuring consultations to his patients. Even better, Dr. Donaldson’s expertise is backed up with a fellowship in retina and vitreous surgery at Mayo Clinic in the United States of America.

He has also topped the examination for the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, which got him the Cedric Cohen and John Parr Prize awards.

Aside from Dr. Donaldson, we like how they introduced a variety of specialists who can cater to a patient’s eye health. Because of this, we feel more confident that Terrace Eye Centre can cater to the various eye conditions of their patients.

We admire that the guys from Terrace Eye Centre can treat simple to complex conditions, like dry eyes, wall-eye syndromes, and retinal vascular disease, just to name a few.

We appreciate how they provide clinical accessibility details on their website, including their parking facilities. We also find it convenient that they have already reflected important details about eye conditions on their site, including their costs. 

Another thing we commend about this clinic is that they have modern and complete facilities. Their receptionists also make sure to accommodate their clients by making sure the patient’s records are complete.

However, we still feel that Terrace Eye can still improve on providing a thorough walk-through of their operating procedures. In doing so, patients would feel more at ease before they begin with any treatment. 

Another ophthalmologist that deserves a spotlight is Dr. Diana Conrad from Conrad Eye Care. She’s known for her warm approach to the patients, which makes her one of the most requested practitioners in the clinic. 

We also appreciate the comfort and assurance they give throughout the process and during the actual procedure. Patients agree with us that the walk-through of the treatment has been a big help to keep worries and fear at bay. 

However, we still feel that there is still some room for improvement when it comes to accommodating their patients. We hope that the clinic can be more approachable, especially when clients ask for further details about fees and payment schemes. 

What’s great about this centre is that they also cater eye treatments to children. We love how the doctors from Conrad Eye Care would design treatment plans according to a child’s eye condition.

Even better, paediatric ophthalmologists encourage parents for early detection by recommending appointments during their early stages.

Another thing we love about them is that they offer eye treatments for complex conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy. This tells us that Conrad Eye Care has extensive knowledge about quality eye care. 

However, we have our reservations when it comes to their booking details. Aside from the lacking information about the practitioners’ schedule, the clinic’s parking provision. 

We think that having complete details on their website will prevent us from placing another call to their clinic, just to confirm this information.

All things considered, it is still worth noting that their practitioners offer outstanding eye care treatment and personalised client service that meet our expectations.

Since 2001, Dr. Lawrence Lee from City Eye Centre has been a known practitioner for specialised quality eye treatment and care. Because of this, we think that he deserves a spot on our list of the best ophthalmologists in Brisbane.

We love that Dr. Lee ensures that his patients are informed during the entire procedure. We’re even impressed that this dedicated ophthalmologist would do intensive research to know the latest eye care treatments, which is always a plus in our books.

Another thing we love about him is that he’s one of the few paediatric vitreoretinal surgeons in the country, making him one of the few experts to attend to retina-related concerns to the children in Brisbane. 

Because of this, parents have gained enough confidence in entrusting their kids’ eye health to Dr. Lee. Even better, this expertise has given him more patient referrals from other parts of the country. 

However, because of the higher client demand, a longer waitlist is expected when requesting for Dr. Lee’s services. Nonetheless, patients are still willing to queue a little longer just to lock in a schedule with the skilled doctor.

On the other hand, getting to the City Eye Centre is easily accessible, either by car or public transport. We even commend the clinic for providing a comprehensive guide on their website, allowing us to conveniently plan our trip.

Even better, the eye care centre offers assistance to non-Brisbane residents in searching for accommodations nearby. They even provided some shortlisted hotels and apartments for easier reference. 

We also love how Dr. Lee provides his patients with a comprehensive procedure, condition, diagnosis details, and even general treatment information. These details are also available on their website, which we appreciate.

However, it’ll be helpful if the fees are also disclosed to help clients prepare their budgets. Nonetheless, we still think that because of their quality patient care, City Eye Centre is worth a shot.
