  • Also offer other tattoo services aside from tattoo application
  • Accepts walk-ins

  • Place is too crowded
  • Could still improve on client handling and waiting time

Another tattoo service provider that we highly consider on our list is CB Ink Tattoo. What we love about them is that they provide clients the proper walk-through and expectations during and after the tattoo services.

However, we noticed that the tattoo studio accommodates a large volume of clients, making the waiting area a bit cramped. Nonetheless, we still commend them for handing out some good samples and options while we wait.

Another thing we like about them is that they are active on social media, perfect for the younger clientele. With this, clients can just check their online platforms for their services, allowing them to save a trip to the studio.

In line with this, we also thoroughly explored their website and saw some good portfolios through a gallery of images – complete with tattoo samples.

We even love that they included the artists’ names and a peek at their previous works to further share their art and talent. This also has been a big help to us in assessing which type of tattoo art would best fit our style.

Another thing we find amusing is that they accept walk-ins which became rare ever since the pandemic. We think that this is a smart touch, knowing that not all clients are internet-savvy.

Lastly, they offer all tattoo-related services which can save you time looking for a shop that will cover up your tattoos or do extra stuff with them.

  • Organised and sanitary facilities
  • Appointments start on time
  • Walk-in appointments can be accommodated
  • Open seven days a week

  • A few reports on needing to improve aftercare services
  • Some instances of missed client calls

Since 1992, Wild At Heart has been a known tattoo service provider in Brisbane.

What we love about them is that their artists can do a wide range of styles and designs – from traditional to even more intrinsic ones.

In terms of booking, we love how we can easily fill out a form or send them a message over email. Their team even asks for a sample design so they can check them prior to the appointment.

During the appointment, their tattoo artists can provide sound advice based on the chosen styles. We love how they give their own personal touch, while respecting the choices of their clients.

Another thing we like about them is that walk-in appointments can be accommodated. This tells us that last minute plans of tattooing are possible with Wild At Heart.

On top of that, their clinic is open seven days a week. This allows the company to serve more clients compared to its counterparts.

However, we have reservations when it comes to their aftercare services. We think it would be better if their staff can prepare a list of reminders and aftercare steps just to ensure that their clients get the most out of their tattoo experience.

Overall, because of their accessibility and sanitary studio, we think that Wild At Heart deserves a spot on this list.

3. Paragon

  • Affiliated with known tattooists worldwide
  • Complete artist portfolio on their website

  • Some staff lack knowledge of the artists’ quotation
  • Internal miscommunication could be worked out
  • Only open five times a week

We’re also excited to share Paragon Tattoo, one of Brisbane’s best tattoo service providers.

What stood out with Paragon Tattoo amongst other tattoo studios is that they provided comprehensive details on their website, which has enough information to answer the initial queries of customers.

Their artists have different takes on tattoo styles and designs. Hence, it has been important for us to check their portfolio to see which artist would fit our preference.

Good thing, Paragon Tattoo is proactive enough to send more styles, which helps us decide. Even better, their artists offer initial coordination for a proper walk-through and explanation.

On top of that, we love how their friendly receptionist greeted us and checked for the artist’s availability. However, we find their internal coordination longer than expected.

In terms of booking, we had a relatively smooth experience. Their client service team promptly responds to acknowledge our booking requests and queries.

In fact, they would respond with some recommendations based on the submitted pegs.

However, these guys deal with a huge volume of clients with limited operating hours. We suggest booking in advance, especially that they are only open five days a week.

Despite all the minor inconveniences we have observed within the studio, we still think that Paragon Tattoo is worth a shot.

  • Place feels homey
  • Walk-ins are possible

  • A little too pricey
  • Deals with a high volume of clients

For over 20 years, Westside Tattoo has been a known tattoo service provider in Brisbane. With their experience and success since 1996, they have also been able to put up another branch in the Gold Coast.

What we love about them is that they are serious about meeting legal regulations. Even with parental consent, the tattoo centre stands firm that they will not allow those under 18 to have their tattoo services in their studio.

We commend them for their passion in their craft. We’re even impressed with how they guide clients through the entire process, making them a perfect choice for beginners.

It has been a common analogy for people to expect that tattoo studios also do piercings. But Westside Tattoo has prospered in doing their tattoos alone even after two decades.

In terms of rates, their studio fee starts at $150, which we think is a bit on the pricier side. However, we’re not surprised to see the growing number of patrons despite the premium rates, given the artists’ outstanding tattoo style and expertise.

Another thing we like about them is that we were able to get their services without having to secure any appointment. This allows clients to drop by the studio when they want to get tattooed.

Lastly, we love how we were able to coordinate all our queries on the phone. Because of this, we did not have to stay longer in the reception area, which saves us a significant amount of time.

  • Portfolio available on social media accounts
  • Separate consultation area and tattooing area
  • Easy booking process
  • Available onsite parking

  • Response time would take days
  • Longer wait list – deals with a lot of clients

Another tattoo studio that deserves a spot on our list is Tailor Made Tattoo.

What we love about them is that they are one of the few tattoo service providers who still offer free consultations to its customers.

Because of this, we’re not surprised to see that they are able to grow their solid client base. In fact, more young customers have been drawn to try out their tattoo expertise.

Another thing we like about them is that they have partnered up with some skillful tattoo artists, especially those who have significant following on social media. We can even directly click on their social media links on the website to see their full portfolio.

We also love that customers are given an option to request for their preferred artists – someone they know would fit the bill. This allows clients to feel more at ease, knowing that the assigned artist is already aware of their design style.

Aside from the tattooing itself, they also do cosmetic tattooing and aftercare. Their cosmetic tattooing focuses on repairing skin discoloration and adding soft touches to freckles and eyebrows, which also has a huge following.

What caught our attention when arriving at Tailor Made is how welcoming their staff is. Not to mention, the cleanliness of the surroundings, which adds up to their overall appeal as a studio.

However, we experienced some slow revert when we’ve sent over some queries. We just wish the company can look into this sooner so as not to drive away new clients.

The rate starts at $100 requiring a deposit which shall be fully paid once the tattoo has been done. It’s worth noting, however, that cancellations made 48 hours prior to the appointment date are non-refundable.

Overall, the experience was one of a kind and it made us feel as if we are being taken care of while we endure the pain of getting a tattoo. They work as if they have been in the industry far longer than they actually do.
