Pros
- Challenging and diverse courses
- Well-maintained golf courses
Cons
- Very limited play options for non-members
- Some greens are still a work-in-progress
Despite being one of the oldest golf courses in Brisbane, The Brisbane Golf Club sure lives up to its name of being one of the most beautiful courses in the area. Despite being destroyed by flood, it’s almost back to its former glory and is still well-maintained!
We’ve spoken to some of its members, and they said that The Brisbane Golf Club has very diverse holes. This keeps the rounds very interesting and at the same time challenging, so there’s never a boring round of golf.
The Brisbane Golf Club is good for any type of golfer, whether you’re a beginner or already a pro at the sport. We’re a little bummed to know though that there are very limited play options for non-members.
Still, we think you’ll appreciate the reasonable golf course rates for non-members. So even if you have limited privileges, you can still enjoy a few rounds of golf with your friends!
The club is also complete with amenities you can enjoy as a member like the clubhouse, the restaurant, and the equipment. Becoming a member is worth it if you can enjoy these privileges.
Most especially the restaurant. A lot of those members we’ve talked to have nothing but good words for the cafe—excellent food and polite staff go extremely well together!
We probably have to warn you though that when it rains, it takes a few days before you can visit the course. This is usually just for a few days though, and you’ll find yourself enjoying a warm afternoon of golf in no time!

Pros
- Offers golf coaching for kids
- Open to non-members
Cons
- Has some bumpy greens on the course
- Overpriced
If you have little kids, we think you’ll love Bulimba Golf Club. It offers golf coaching for children, so you can enjoy playing golf while your young ones are in good hands, learning the sport you love and enjoying at the same time!
We love how the golf club is non-exclusive, and accepts all non-members without a hassle. So if you want to try playing golf without any tie-ins, Bulimba Golf Club is perfect for you.
Some of the previous visitors we’ve talked to complained about the overpricing, so this might make you hesitate in trying the golf course. However, the club has a lot of amenities and activities you can enjoy, so paying a little more might be worth it!
Another thing we love about the golf course is that it has an incredible view. It’s located near the Brisbane River, so you can just imagine how beautiful and incredibly relaxing it is!
There are also a lot of things you can enjoy when you visit the course, so even if you won’t play golf, you can enjoy the view and stay at the restaurant to enjoy the food.
We appreciate how Bulimba Golf Club keeps expanding and renovating, though this is probably the reason for the bumpy greens. There’ll be more available courses for everyone, and it’ll make the place more enjoyable for beginner and professional golfers.

Pros
- Accessible location
- Picturesque fairways
Cons
- Problematic golf carts
- Strict dress code
In terms of location, Pacific Golf Club’s the best golf course for you. You don’t need to travel far to play golf because it’s accessible to most areas of Brisbane.
We love that the golf course caters to both beginners and pro-golfers, so whatever level you’re at, you can still enjoy playing at the club. It has par 3 9-hole courses for beginners as well as 18-hole courses for those playing at a championship level.
We also appreciate how the courses are walkable, so if you love enjoying the view, you can just walk instead of using a golf cart. Pacific Golf Club has lovely fairways so it’s quite relaxing to take a walk.
The staff are also quite lovely and respectful! They know how to treat members and guests, and make sure they have a good time at the course.
We just think it’s a little bit too much to ask people to dress like how players dress up for PGA tournaments. Most members go there to enjoy a round of golf with friends, so as long as they wear appropriate attire, then that should’ve been fine.
Another problem we’ve heard from the members was about the golf carts. The club should start upgrading their golf carts because most of them are problematic and stop working at some point, causing inconvenience to golfers midway.

Pros
- Excellent facilities
- Amazing distance between holes
Cons
- Greens in need of repair
- Lack of signs that show where the next hole is
If you love nature and welcome the presence of animals while you’re playing golf, Wolston Park Golf Club is a good place for you. It has plenty of space with nice fairways, and you’ll get an extra audience—a mob of kangaroos!
When we asked the members, they said that they love how there’s just a lot of spaces around them. The distance between holes are perfect—not too far, not too short either, and that’s a pretty flexible feature for all types of golfers.
The club also has amazing facilities and amenities which the members can enjoy. And the good thing about it—the membership fee is cheap, you can become a member without stretching your budget.
Another thing we love about the club is that it has a good mix of beginner and challenging holes. It’s a good fit for you if you’re just starting with golf.
We notice though that there are a lack of signs in between holes, and this is a bit of a bother for golfers because they rely on the signs to keep them moving. Wolston Park should add more signages for its patrons’ sake.
There are also some greens in need of repair—there are a lot of animal tracks and there are uneven surfaces, which disrupts the need to tee off properly.
5. Indooroopilly Golf Club

Pros
- Extremely well-maintained course
- Enough parking for everyone
Cons
- Temporarily not available for nonmembers
- Expensive golf club
We asked the members of Indooroopilly Golf Club what they like most about the golf course. Their answers are all the same–its well-maintained courses, equipment, and amenities are worth the membership fee.
We love how it has such a nice layout for a golf course that even with the floods in Australia, it’s not as affected as other courses! It also has amazing practice facilities and a driving range, which are perfect for beginners.
Whether you love a challenging course or just want to take it easy and have a good relaxing game, you’ll find a hole that’s perfect for you.
We think you’ll also love how easy it is to book online. The hassle-free process allows for a smooth transaction. This is perfect because it’s kinda difficult to get an appointment from them nowadays due to so much demand.
One thing we think might turn you off is that as of the moment, you have to become a member so you can play. Due to the growth in the number of members, the club feels like it has to cater first to the demand of its members more than visitors.
The club is also quite expensive—one of the high-end ones. However, it’s also one of the most well-maintained courses, which allow for a more focused game for its members.
