However, we have our qualms when booking appointments online. It would be best if they assign a point person to ensure all online bookings are penciled in the clinic’s schedule.

One of the best orthodontists who deserves a spot on our list is Dr. Bruce Trusler from Shine Orthodontics. Since 1988, he’s been qualified to practise orthodontics in the city.

What’s great about Dr. Trusler is his sweet and caring approach which we experienced during our initial coordination at Shine Orthodontics. We love how the doctor would make sure that we will be given a comprehensive brief about the treatment process.

After getting our treatments done, we commend the staff for providing clear and easy-to-understand post-treatment care instructions. This tells us how important it is for them to keep their patients in the loop – even after the procedure.

We also like that Shine Orthodontics has 11 clinics, with prime locations around the city, allowing clients to choose a branch that is closest to their homes.

Having multiple branches has been an advantage for the company, especially since their clinics are only open on weekdays. With this, Shine Orthodontics is still able to accommodate their pool of clients across Brisbane.

We like that they provide a full and comprehensive initial quotation. This prevents any billshocks towards the end, allowing clients to prepare their budgets for the treatment.

On top of that, we appreciate that the clinic extends some flexible payment plans – offering no interest to their customers.

All things considered, we love how they remain approachable and accommodating to their clients, whether old or new. Even if they don’t offer the cheapest rates, we still think that Shine Orthodontics is worth the investment.

Dr. Gavin Lenz from Platinum Orthodontics is one of the few dentists in the country who received the award of Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

This has gained an increasing loyal patronage amongst the Brisbane people, which didn’t surprise us. With this, he deserves a spot on our list of the best orthodontists in Brisbane.

What’s great about him, apart from his outstanding qualification, is that he is known to provide treatments to patients with complex conditions. Spending years attending to patients with cleft lip and palate made him practise a more calm and soothing approach.

Because of this, patients agree with us that clinic visits have been more comforting than expected. We even love how Dr. Lenz would gently walk his patients through the entire procedure, including the post-treatment care.

Initial consultations are given free, which we love. This allows us and all their new set of clients to check first if their chosen practitioner is the right fit for their requirements. 

Another thing we love about Platinum Orthodontics is that they are known to provide a comprehensive initial examination, leaving no stones unturned. This gives us more confidence that the clinic won’t overlook any condition, including past dental history.

It’s also comforting to know that the clinic provides affordable rates. We love that we don’t have to break the bank just to avail their remarkable and personalised services.

It’s worth noting, however, that the clinic only has a limited operating hours during weekdays. It would also be best to lock in a date ahead to secure a slot.

Another clinic that’s known for their friendly and gentle approach to their patients, especially to children, is Edge Orthodontics. Because of this, the clinic has been able to grow their client base due to good recommendations from the pool of happy and satisfied parents.

One of their most requested dentists is Dr. Angie Phelan. Since 2011, she has been restoring confidence with her patients’ improved smile and teeth conditions. 

What we love about her is that she ensures that she continuously gains in-depth knowledge in orthodontic care by involving herself with published research projects and technological advancement studies.

Because of this, we’re not surprised to see that Dr. Phelan has gained multiple recognitions in the industry. She even received a Sims Award from the Australian Society of Orthodontists as the most commendable post-graduate orthodontist from 2009 to 2010.

Though we find the initial consultation a bit costly, we love how Dr. Phelan managed to make us feel relaxed during the entire appointment. She takes initial consultations seriously, making sure she gathers all vital records before she proceeds with any treatment.

Speaking of appointments, we love how the clinic spaces out their patients’ schedules, ensuring that all customers are given the utmost attention and medical care without any rush.

Overall, with the clinical ability and award-winning orthodontic care, we think that Edge Orthodontics is worth the investment.

What’s great about him is that he’s been hands-on from the get-go. We even love how he walked us through a personalised and comprehensive treatment plan – complete with projected timelines.

Because of this, clients agree with us that Dr. Oliver’s detailed treatment plan has been a big help in managing expectations, most especially the turnaround time.

Aside from providing orthodontic services to adults, we love that they can also extend their services to children and teens. This allows patients, especially parents, to choose Oliver Orthodontics for their family’s orthodontic care.

Another thing we love about Oliver Orthodontics is that they provide transparent initial quotations. Even better, the clinic offers a comprehensive all-in package, allowing us to be confident that no extra costs will be charged for the entire treatment duration. 

However, we have our reservations about some of their staff’s manner of communication with clients. Appointments and schedules have been mentioned to get mixed up, so we hope they can improve on this.
