There’s a lot of places in Brisbane that I have visited, but do you know the feeling of missing a piece of your puzzle? Well, the piece that would complete my adventure in Brisbane is Bowen Hills (I have never regretted going here!).
As I’m sipping my coffee, I start chatting with a local who fills me in on all the hidden gems around Bowen Hills. Turns out, this place is packed with cool spots and quirky little nooks that you’d miss if you were just passing through.
Fast forward a few hours (and a few more coffees), and I’m convinced Bowen Hills is like that puzzle piece I didn’t know I needed but now can’t imagine my trip without!

Bowen Hills is right in the center of Brisbane. It’s nestled between Fortitude Valley to the west, Windsor to the north, and Newstead to the south.

For a dose of adventure and some of the best views in Brisbane, you’ve got to climb the Story Bridge. It’s one of those experiences that’s both thrilling and breathtaking.
The climb itself is pretty straightforward and guided, so you don’t need to be a pro climber to do it. Once you’re at the top, the 360-degree views of the city and the Brisbane River are absolutely worth it.
