Pros
- Arrives on scheduled appointment
- Easy online booking process
Cons
- Always fully booked
- Not cheap
When we asked the regular clients of Piano Tuning Brisbane, they told us that other than the top-notch service, it’s the booking process that made them appreciate the business more. It’s easy to book online, and you’ll immediately get confirmation!
Moreover, we also appreciate the professionalism of its professional tuners. They arrive on the scheduled appointment on time, and immediately work on your pianos–efficiency and expertise can go a long way.
In addition to that, we appreciate the pre-appointment communication, which makes things flow smoothly. The guys at Piano Tuning make sure to confirm a day before the scheduled appointment if the owner’s at home and still available on said date.
We also notice how the guys at Piano Tuning not only know what they’re doing, but also love it. With the way they explain things, very precise and very detailed, as they work on tuning your pianos—the enthusiasm and the knowledge are evidently present!
We’re just a little concerned that Piano Tuning might not be for everyone—while it isn’t overly expensive, you might need to stretch your budget a little to afford its services. But then again, piano tuning is only needed at least once a year—it’s still worth it.
Another thing—while they accept walk-ins, there’s no guarantee that you can be accommodated. There are times when the business is fully booked, and all of its piano tuners are occupied, so we still recommend booking in advance.

Pros
- Upfront pricing
- Can fine-tune even years-old pianos
Cons
- Might not accommodate walk-ins
- Tuning might take a few appointments
A Tune in Time is known for its skilled piano tuner experts. It doesn’t matter how old your piano is, or how long it hasn’t been tuned, the business can shape it back to its former glory!
Most of its customers that we’ve talked to said that A Tune in Time really has competent piano tuners—they’re very detailed with their work. Hence, the customers weren’t surprised that even super old pianos sounded better after being tuned by the business.
There are cases though when it takes a few appointments before you get your piano back in full condition. If your piano’s very old and hasn’t been tuned for a long time, you need to go back at least three times–not to worry though, the cost is reasonable!
That’s actually one thing we love about A Tune in Time—it never overcharges its customers. In fact, the business is very upfront with pricing so you don’t need to worry about hidden or extra charges.
Another thing we love about the business is the customer service. The staff are very accommodating to its patrons and patiently answer all of their questions, even making recommendations if you need them.
We need to warn you though that you need to schedule your visit in order to be accommodated. If you go there as a walk-in, the business might not be able to cater to you at all.
Other than this little fallback though, we still think A Tune in Time is a good place to visit for your piano tuning needs. In terms of craftsmanship and professionalism, the business won’t’ fail you!

Most of the customers at Advanced Pianos told us that when it comes to restoration of old pianos, the business is the best go-to place. It’s not just about tuning—Advanced Pianos do the whole piano maintenance, making it a one-stop shop for piano owners!
We also love that you can hire a piano from them. So just in case you don’t have the budget yet, but you need a piano to use for a special occasion, you can always hire one from them.
In addition, the business has this try-before-you-buy policy. So in case you just want to see first if piano’s for you, you can just rent instead of immediately buy.
Another thing we appreciate is that the service doesn’t end with tuning your pianos—the guys at Advanced Pianos also give maintenance advice to avoid problems. They also explain potential issues that you might encounter based on the type of piano you have.
This shows us how reliable and knowledgeable the staff are. They’re good at what they do so you’ll have an easy time leaving your beloved instrument with these guys.
We have to give it to them—it’s obvious that Advanced Pianos is very much concerned with providing good services to its customers. Money isn’t the business’ primary motivation—it’s making sure their piano tuning offers satisfy each customer.

Cons
- Expensive
- Extra charges

Professionalism comes easy to the guys at Prestige Piano, which we truly appreciate. You don’t need to worry about cancelled appointments because they always arrive at the scheduled date, and promptly!
This type of service is what attracts customers to them. According to some customers we’ve talked to, they’ve been patrons of Prestige for so long because the business knows how to take care not only of their pianos, but their customers as well.
In fact, a lot of customers appreciate how very responsive Prestige Piano is—so inquiries and calls are always answered without delay. It’s also quite easy to schedule an appointment because the business immediately confirms the date with you.
Another thing we love—the guys at Prestige use specialised and modern tuning software and tools. This is the reason they easily achieve accurate and consistent notes every time.

Pros
- Reasonable pricing
- Friendly and patient
Cons
- Arrives late at times
- Takes a long time to tune a piano
In terms of reasonable pricing and quality service, Jack the Piano Tuner’s one of the reliable businesses in Brisbane. Even though it’s smaller compared to other piano tuning businesses, the services are more than enough to satisfy its patrons.
Jack the Piano Tuner’s gained a lot of loyal customers throughout the years. According to some who we’ve managed to talk to, Jack’s very meticulous in his work and makes sure everything’s more than a hundred perfect fine before he gives the piano back.
He’s very precise and very cautious, so it’s easy to entrust your piano with him. In fact, most of his customers owned antique pianos, and they appreciated how Jack worked with them carefully.
We’re actually awed by how his customers described him as having magic hands–he can restore any tune regardless of how old or neglected your piano is! In addition to that, Jack’s very friendly and gives tips regarding how to take care of your piano.
We’re just a little disappointed that sometimes Jack arrives late, though honestly, it’s pretty understandable. It’s a small business and he’s the only piano tuner, but still he tries to accommodate customers as much as he can.
Jack also takes a long time to tune a piano, around an hour and a half. Though with the quality of the piano sound after he’s done with it—this is just a minor setback!
