5 Best Day Spas in Brisbane

Services: We checked to see the different services and treatments that the day spas offer that include beauty, health, and wellness packages.

Quality of Service: The customer experience is the most important thing, so we went to see if the quality of their services is to our satisfaction from the moment we enter the spa.

Amenities: Apart from their services, we looked at the unique amenities available, as well as its aesthetic qualities. We also checked the facilities’ general hygiene and cleanliness.

Pricing: We inquired about their rates for basic services to see if the pricing is reasonable. We also looked at their special package offerings that cater to individuals, couples, or groups.

    Pros

    • Peaceful and quiet location
    • Wide range of services

    Cons

    • Closed Sundays – Mondays
    • Varying closing times

What we love about Ebb & Flow Day Spa is that it’s quietly tucked in a lush suburban area just a few kilometers away from the city center. It’s nice to find a place away from the bustle of the city where you can unwind for just a few hours.

They offer a variety of services and packages from spa rituals to beauty and detox treatments. We’d say they have one of the widest selection of service offerings on our list and it’s worth checking out.

They have several spa ritual packages to choose from with prices that range from $185 to $420, as well as body therapy, massages, beauty treatments, hair reduction or removals, and facials.

The spa also has amenities like an infrared sauna and magnesium spa. This also comes in wellness packages that range from $190 to $300 and detox hut sessions that start at $75.

Apart from their wealth of treatment offerings, another thing that we like about them is that you can also shop for skin care products so you can start a consistent beauty routine at home.

The only downside is, if you’re looking to book a session on a Sunday, they are unfortunately closed as business days are only Tuesdays to Saturdays.

But overall, with its wide range of services and wonderfully tranquil atmosphere, we think Ebb & Flow Day Spa might just be your next go-to place for beauty treatments and relaxation.

    Pros

    • Affordable packages
    • Can be booked for small exclusive events

    Cons

    • Only paid street parking available
    • Treatment services are limited

Cenote Casa Bathhouse secures a sure spot on our list because it houses the first outdoor bathhouse in Brisbane that features a magnesium plunge pool, cedar wood sauna, hydrotherapy spa, a steam room, and a sun deck.

What we love about it is its exclusive feel since only a limited number of guests are allowed at a time and it’s by appointment only. With that, you’d definitely feel that it’s your own private oasis even for just a few hours.

However, we think it’s better to book the place for a private session to ensure a quiet and relaxing time to avoid possible distractions from other customers.

It’s a good thing that there’s an option for private bookings and you can also hold small exclusive events. This is a good deal if you want to unwind with friends and family, or even to celebrate special occasions.

Among the bathhouse packages, we would recommend you to avail of the deluxe bathhouse package for an ultimate pampering session. You’ll also cap off the 2-hour session with a luscious serving of chocolates and champagne.

The packages they offer are also fairly affordable starting at $49. It’s a great deal if you’re looking for a place to relax and unwind within the city.

Although, they don’t really offer other treatment services. So you’ll have to book somewhere else for other wellness and beauty treatments.

But if you’re looking to just get a much-needed respite within the city, then we recommend Cenote Casa Bathhouse.

    Pros

    • Uses all-natural, organic products
    • Offers 1 year spa packages

    Cons

    • Rates can be pricey
    • Charges late cancellation fee

Petrichor Day Spa is another one of our choices which is hard to miss, most notably because of its quaint and cozy charm. The spa is set in a renovated 100-year old Queenslander home.

Another quality that we like is that they only use organic, vegan, and cruelty-free products. So you’d be sure that the products they use for every treatment contain no harmful chemicals.

We think it’s great to support businesses like this as they give premium importance to using local, ethically-made products. Not only is it beneficial for your skin, but it won’t harm the environment as well.

The downside, however, is that their rates are more expensive since organic products tend to be a bit pricey. But they do have a one year spa pass offer for $1,325 which includes 10 60-minute sessions of selected spa treatments.

You can choose from massages, custom facial, deluxe manicure and pedicure, and body treatment with full body salt scrub and mineral mask.

This is already a good deal if you’re looking to go on a spa session at least once a month. They also offer a 1-year couples massage package for 6 sessions at $975 which we think is an awesome deal as well.

If you’re looking for a relaxing spa session with all-natural products, then you’ll feel right at home at Petrichor Day Spa.

    Pros

    • Luxurious and cosy ambience
    • Competitive pricing

    Cons

    • Charges 18% surcharge on public holidays
    • Full cost will be charged to your credit card for non-attendance without 24 hours notice

Stephanies is a line of luxury day spas in and around Brisbane which had its humble beginnings in Camp Hill in 1994. It now has several branches all offering its own unique charms.

Among its various locations, we chose Stephanies Vintage Spa in Cleveland. We chose it because of its quaint elegance and its location in the quiet, coastal community.

It also features traditional Queenslander design with a view overlooking a picturesque French courtyard.

The aesthetics plays an important part in our decision for choosing our recommended spas because we believe that relaxation begins the moment you step into the space. And the ambience at Stephanies Vintage Spa is simply luxurious yet homey.

Apart from that, they also offer a wide array of services with a competitive price range. You can book group spa sessions and avail of spa memberships as well.

What’s nice about the spa membership is that it’s completely customisable so you can choose the treatments yourself and make it a regular self-care routine. Membership rate starts at $1,000.

Family friendly spa packages are also available for 4 – 16 year olds. But they should be accompanied by an adult who will also avail of the services.

The only downside that we saw is that they charge an 18% surcharge during public holidays, so it’s better to book your appointments on regular days.

Overall, we think Stephanies Vintage Spa is one of the best day spas in Brisbane with its luxurious ambience, wide array of services, and competitive pricing.

    Pros

    • Promotes gender diversity and inclusivity
    • Offers a variety of laser hair removal and facial treatments

    Cons

    • Limited parking
    • No dedicated receptionist

We chose Archon Day Spa as one of our top picks because it was created to provide an equal and inclusive space that acknowledges gender diversity.

For us, it’s good to support these kinds of businesses that advocate for inclusivity in all aspects. All of their services were carefully curated with equality in mind, to serve everyone’s beauty and wellness needs.

Apart from general relaxation and quality of treatments, we think it’s important to feel welcomed and at ease from the second you enter the spa.

Customers say that they feel welcomed and at home at the spa and they also do follow-up treatments to help you achieve the best results.

They have a myriad of offerings as well!We noticed that their selection of services are focused on facials and laser hair reduction/removal that start at $140 and $75, respectively.

They’re known for laser hair removal and facials but they also offer spa packages starting at $110 an hour and massage services from $130 an hour. They also mentioned that 50% of their clientele are male.

Their rates are fairly affordable, so we think you should give it a shot if you’re looking for a gender inclusive spa.

However, expect that a receptionist won’t be at the front desk all the time as they don’t have a dedicated person for that. In addition, there’s only one assigned parking slot for the establishment so you will most likely have to find a spot on the street.
