Pros

  • Supportive atmosphere
  • Flexible membership packages

Cons

  • Difficult to contact
  • Product information on website needs updating

One of the things that makes a yoga class successful is the people involved in it, and Bend + Fly Yoga has that covered! The studio is known for its supportive lessons, and this is because everyone, students and instructors, encourage each other.

The rooms are clean, well lit, and well-ventilated—another good thing about Bend + Fly’s. We can also see that the areas are well-maintained, so they’re very conducive for yoga classes.

In addition to that, the studio’s also known for its flexible membership packages. In fact, some students we talked to told us that it’s been easy for them to join the classes because there are several options for them to choose from.

Another thing we appreciate about Bend + Fly is that it offers yoga equipment online. It has a variety of products and kits such as hammocks, rigs, chains, carabiner among others, so you don’t have to visit another store just to search for the things you need.

Speaking of products though, we think the studio needs to update some of its information on the website. A few patrons complained that some prices and descriptions are misleading, causing confusion among them.

Another small disadvantage—Bend + Fly is a little difficult to contact. The line’s always busy, and the replies are quite slow in emails.

Pros

  • Classes are held in varied rooms (depends on the type of yoga)
  • Competent and supportive instructors

Cons

  • Parking is a hassle
  • Expensive fees

One of Flex Hot Yoga Brisbane’s strengths lies in its studio. In fact, when we asked a few of its students, they told us that Flex Hot Yoga has one of the most aesthetic yoga studios in Brisbane, making them feel instantly relaxed and comfortable during classes.

In connection to that, what we appreciate most is that the classes are held in varied rooms, depending on the type of yoga. Flex Hot Yoga’s very specific with the details, so the room fits the vibe of the type of yoga you’ve chosen.

We also appreciate the instructors, who are very dedicated in teaching the students everything they need to learn. They’re very skilled too and very supportive, so the students are always motivated to give the classes their all.

We’re not quite pleased about this—parking’s a hassle! Now this isn’t the studio’s fault since it has a few parking spaces around, but it’s still inconvenient to students who go there using cars during busy hours.

We also don’t appreciate the expensive fees of the yoga studio. It’s not too much that you have to super stretch your budget, but it’s still not pocket-friendly, most especially to those who have a specific limit.

However, if you have a little money to spare, we still recommend Flex Hot Yoga. Amazing rooms, competent instructors, and supportive fellow students—sounds perfect to us!

Pros

  • Rooms are conducive for yoga classes (high ceilings, natural light, warm)
  • Several yoga classes options depending on experience level

Cons

  • Replies late to emails
  • Always fully booked

Getting to talk to some of Raw Power Yoga’s students allowed us to see the good things about it. They told us that the best thing about the studio is the sense of community—students feel welcomed and supported regardless of the experience.

Students told us that they met all kinds of people in their classes, and most of them helped in their journey to wellness. From fellow students to instructors, Raw Power Yoga really has some of the best yogi!

This brings us to the instructors. We appreciate the fact that the yoga teachers are very knowledgeable about the mind and the body, so they know how to push the students to their limits without painful consequences.

Raw Power Yoga offers a lot of classes—from meditation to energy flow to release of yin among others—that give students the opportunity to choose what suits them. The classes also maintain a supportive environment so everyone’s just always motivated!

Speaking of the environment, we love how conducive for yoga classes the rooms are! They all have high ceilings, giving plenty of breathing space, and natural light seeps through the windows for a more serene effect.

Perhaps the only thing we don’t appreciate much about the studio is its communication. It needs to improve the response time to emails so potential students will have the information they need to start their yoga classes.

We also need to warn you that the studio’s often fully booked. You might need to book weeks in advance to experience Raw Power Yoga’s amazing classes!

Pros

  • Unique studio
  • Instructors know how to engage with students, making classes more fun

Cons

  • Website’s undergoing maintenance
  • Some instructors are a little assertive

Yoga Bones is known for its unique studio, which is so beautiful and serene it feels like you’re in a Bali resort. But even with all the aesthetics and offers, the studio offers reasonable fees for its yoga classes.

According to some students we talked to, what they love most about Yoga Bones is how the studio made everyone feel welcome, beginner or not. They didn’t need to try and fit in because everyone, students and instructors alike, were very welcoming.

There’s a wide range of classes too, so you can choose which type of yoga you want to do! The instructors are all qualified, even having a huge knowledge in medicine, so they knew the best poses and stretches for their students’ needs.

Speaking of instructors, we heard straight from some students that some instructors are a little assertive. The students loved that they’re being pushed to their limits, but it got a little too much sometimes that their bodies ached for days after the session.

We just noticed though that Yoga Bones’ website, which has all the information a customer might need, is undergoing maintenance. Since their other pages don’t have the necessary information, this can be quite an inconvenience.

Other than these little things though, we still think Yoga Bones is a good studio to join yoga classes. It has reasonable fees, has good instructors, and has the perfect place suited for yoga.

Pros

  • Studio’s easily accessible to everyone
  • Clean and spacious rooms

Cons

  • Strictly no refund
  • Bumps schedule without informing student in advance

Location-wise, we think Stretch Yoga Brisbane CBD got the best one out there! It’s right at the center of Brisbane business district, so anyone who just wants to have a relaxing session can access the studio any time!

What we love most about it is that despite being at the heart of one of the busiest areas in Brisbane, Stretch Yoga feels like a sanctuary. The studio’s like a whole new world inside—serene, quiet, and peaceful—unlike the busy life in the business district.

The studio smells so good too, like a mixture of aromatic essential oils! This actually adds to the warmth and relaxing aura of the place—like you’ll immediately feel comfortable and calm the moment you step inside.

We love that the classes are held in clean and spacious rooms. Yoga’s supposed to calm your mind and your body, and you need the perfect area to achieve it.

We also love that Stretch Yoga caters to all types of students–whether you’re a beginner or someone who’s been doing yoga for a long time. All instructors are considerate to their students, pushing them to their limits, yet also respecting their own progress.

In fact, we’ve asked a few students of the studio, and they told us that they rarely finish a session with sore bodies. They said they appreciated that the instructors respected their pace, and they knew when they’re ready to proceed to more advanced poses.

Possibly the only thing we don’t like much about Stretch Yoga is their strictly no refund policy. While it can be reasonable, there are times when the customer has a valid reason that needs consideration.

We also don’t appreciate that sometimes the studio bumps schedule without informing the student. As customers, we’ll appreciate prompt updates so we can make room for other schedules.

Their shala located in Fortitude Valley is a home for Beginner and Advanced students alike to develop and deepen their practice.

We find their community amazing as they have a group of dedicated practitioners who are welcome to new people joining.

What we like about their classes is that each student receives individual guidance and adjustments in their practice.
