In addition to that, we love how Instagrammable Rainforest Gardens is, making it perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony. They have several gardens for photo opportunities and have wildlife around for you to enjoy watching.

Another thing we love is how the planners always have backup plans. Since the venue is perfect for an outdoor wedding, the weather can easily affect the event, but they have options if it won’t cooperate on the day itself.

There’s only one thing we dislike about the place, and it’s the inconvenience of washing your own dishes if you decide to stay in one of their chalets. It could’ve been fine, except there’s no sink and you have to carry them and wash them in the bathroom.

Regarding the rates, they’re quite expensive for a couple who are not too fond of spending too much for one event. However, they have packages that you might want to check because they include everything you need for a hassle-free wedding.

Lightspace might be the perfect wedding venue in Brisbane for you if you’re one of those couples who loves organizing their own events. It’s a warehouse venue in Brisbane, a large open space ready for you to turn into your dream wedding space.

What we love about this venue is that there are available furniture and plants that you can use as part of your arrangement. If you’re going for a rustic-themed wedding, the vibe of the place as well as the existing furniture already match your theme.

Lightspace’s staff are also very helpful and will help move things for you even though you have other contractors. They also have wedding planners that are extremely good at what they do, and are also approachable and accommodating.

You might encounter some problems though, and one of those is the parking space. Since it’s an inner city wedding venue, street parking is quite limited; though there are a few parking lots around where your guests can park.

The rates are fair, most especially with all the inclusions that come with booking the venue. Just don’t forget to ask them to disclose the full amount as there are some additional fees that might catch you off-guard once you’ll settle the bill.

Smoked Garage is purchased by Shane and Melissa in 2019. They added a few features like bars, kitchen, cafe, and function rooms, and transformed the three-storey warehouse into one of Brisbane’s most sought-after wedding venues.

Upon setting our sights on the venue, we immediately thought it suits a couple who prefer an intimate but unique venue for their wedding. The place has a dark, melancholic but calming vibe to it, with its furniture, brickwalls, mosaic tiles, and antique chandeliers. 

There are two things that set it apart from the rest on the list, one of which is the custom motorcycles on display since it’s also a workshop run by Shane. You can use these motorcycles as part of your decorations if you want.

Another one is its Wii Gii room that features a glass ceiling where you can get natural light during the day and see the stars when the night comes. The overall rustic look is perfect if you want a magical feel to your wedding.  

We only notice one thing that needs improvement, and that is the coordination between the kitchen and the cafe. They probably need to add more staff so the wedding guests and the cafe customers will not be compromised with poor service. 

Now don’t be confused by the word pop up because Sunshine Coast Pop Up Weddings also offers mainstream wedding venues & services in Brisbane. What makes them different though is that they offer varied options depending on your preferred theme.

We added them on the list because of their Choose Your Own Location package, which makes your wedding more personalized. They have a variety of venues in the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay region that you can choose from to host your dream wedding.

The only problem we can see with offering several venues is having different resources for each place. If some last-minute changes happen, organizers might be able to accommodate them for one, but not be able to accommodate them for another.

The rates are also quite reasonable for a high-end wedding venue and setup. The reason for this is because the wedding happens on a weekday, and your budget can be fully utilized to achieve what you have always wanted as a couple without overspending.

If we’re talking about the best wedding venues in Brisbane, The Refinery should be a part of the list. Dan and Rach, the owners, pride themselves on offering a one-stop wedding experience, hence they created it to cater to all preferences.

One amazing thing about The Refinery that we love, which for sure you will too, is the Rogue Bistro. It’s the restaurant beside The Refinery that offers food worthy of a Michelin star pushing wedding guests to give rave reviews about it.

The place itself is picture-worthy. They have a private garden solely for the wedding ceremony, and their main reception hall is spacious and elegant which will suit any dream wedding theme you have in mind.

We also love that they only host one event a day, which means there will be no compromises in terms of logistics and service. They have curfews that you have to follow, but a 2-hour ceremony and a 5-hour reception are probably more than enough.

The rates are more affordable than a couple of the venues in our list, but you have to book a ceremony package along with a reception package. You have to bring your own PA system for the ceremony too as they don’t offer it in the package. 

Gabbinar Homestead is an enterprise that offers its clients full wedding packages and an intimate and personal venue where they can celebrate their special day for over 148 years already.

Capitalizing on giving clients personalized attention along with client-centered packages, their packages are very inclusive wherein not only do they have the venue covered but also other areas of the wedding such as food and drinks among others.

This iconic venue is a part of Brisbane’s history located in the heart of city.

This landmark for over 150 years remains a place that offers contemporary spaces for weddings and events.

We can’t help but rave about the three different spaces that can be found here.

There’s the Church, with its classic white interior with stained glass and antique arched windows, vaulted ceiling, chandeliers, and polished floorboards. While it screams traditional wedding venue, it’s also the reason we think it’s charming!

They have a Rooftop Terrace directly outside the Church, and it overlooks Brunswick Street with glimpses of the Story Bridge. There’s also The Gallery found below the Church and boasts modern art deco interior with genuine Versace furnishings.

We like that they have two different wedding ceremony packages—Simple Touch and Perfect Day. These two are similar except that the latter includes classic seasonal florals on the arbour, altar and signing table.

Speaking of florals, the place also has in house styling and floristry services.

Of course you can also hold your wedding reception here and for this, they have catering services as well.

We think the place is also spacious and can have around 150 guests and seat 60-100 guests.
