Pros

  • Over 130 years in the business
  • Website is easy to navigate

Cons

  • Few instances of mixed up appointments
  • Some reports of slow and inefficient communication
  • Quite slow at giving updates

With over 130 years of experience in the real estate trade, Blocksidge Real Estate has been able to extend help in selling, buying or renting properties in the city.

They’ve been winners of the Quest Business Achiever Awards and Gold Award Excellence in Customer Service, just to name a few. These awards, in our opinion, tell us how they have provided outstanding client service throughout these years.

We like how it’s easy to navigate through the company’s website, too. We can even select respective suburbs, choose a price range, and input the type and size of property, and we could already see a good set of listings.

It’s also commendable that we can access a list of open homes – complete with initial description and features, as well as an assigned real estate agent.

We think that this actually gives us a great insight before we proceed, allowing us to manage our time and resources well.

For those who may be considering selling their properties, we love that we can reach out to the company’s real estate agents for a quick sales appraisal. This allows us to have an idea of our property’s worth.

All things considered, we think that Blocksidge Real Estate is a tough contender in the trade. We just wish they still improve on giving prompt updates, especially to their new clientele.

Pros

  • Also open on Saturdays
  • Comprehensive and interactive website
  • Floor plans and property videos are available on site

Cons

  • Deals with a high volume of clients
  • Some agents’ email inbox can get clogged during busier times

Since 1999, Brisbane Real Estate has been providing professional real estate services and property management in the city.

With over 20 years of experience, it’s quite commendable how the pool of real estate agents from this company has gained some significant and quality network, which allows them to gain improved listings.

It’s also worth noting that they cover almost all suburbs in the area, utilising their presence in the entire Brisbane. This tells us that they are keen on knowing the market, which is perfect for those who are planning to sell their properties.

For people who may be considering buying properties, we’re impressed to see how full their listings are. These listings are even complete with all the necessary information – including inspection schedule!

In line with this, those who won’t be able to go on the indicated inspection time can still inspect the property through a walk-through video uploaded on the website.

Another thing we like about dealing with Brisbane Real Estate is that it’s very convenient to tap their real estate agents. We simply have to select a property of our choice, click contact, and we can directly connect to the assigned agent.

However, there are some instances that the agent may encounter a clogged inbox due to high volume of requests. It may be best to contact their office and ask for the agent’s direct contact information.

Nonetheless, we still like that the company’s office is open on Saturdays, unlike its counterparts that are only open on weekdays.

Pros

  • In the business for over 100 years
  • 30 days complimentary interim home insurance
  • Offers home loans
  • Established in 1902
  • Award-winning mortgage broker company

Cons

  • No office on weekends
  • Slow response to queries

In the business for over 100 years, Ray White has been a known player in the real estate industry. Since entering Brisbane 30 years ago, they have grown a solid client base among residents and business owners.

Being an established brand comes with perks, such as good connections. With this, we like that the company can help clients connect with over 60 lenders, assisting them to find the best match for their needs.

Among its counterparts, Ray White also offers a complimentary interim home insurance within thirty days of purchase, ensuring that buyers will be covered while the insurance application is still under approval.

Because of these achievements and numerous affiliations, we’re not surprised to see that they have been recognised as one of the top players in the mortgage broking industry.

In fact, they have won the Australian Mortgage Awards from 2018 to 2020. They have also been recently included in the 2022 Top 25 Brokerage by TheAdviser.

Another thing we like about them is that they have a comprehensive website – complete with all available listings for selling, buying, and even those properties that are open for inspection.

On top of that, we’re quite impressed that we can just click on a tab to watch live auctions! Those who won’t have enough time to spare during the live streaming can still access the videos under the same tab, complete with the latest status of the property.

However, although they seem to have utilised their online platform, we have reservations when it comes to their response rate. We hope that they can assign staff who will solely be dedicated to reverting to clients, just to improve on this service.

Nonetheless, with its outstanding connections and years of experience, we still think that Ray White is worth the investment.

4. Bees Nees City Realty

Variety of Listings3.5/5

Pros

  • 24/7 access to property information
  • Zero management fees for unsatisfactory service

Cons

  • Instances of change in property manager
  • Doesn’t cover suburban housing

Another player that has a pool of skilled and knowledgeable real estate agents is Bees Nees City Realty.

Unlike its counterparts, Bees Nees focuses more on city life. They cater mostly to the younger crowd and families who are looking for a perfect balance of work and play.

Because of this, we’re not surprised to see that the company has helped residents in embracing a smoother move to the hustle and bustle of the city.

We even like how they extended this service for companies who would want to move their new executives in Brisbane.

In line with this, we love that the company has chosen good locations that are close to public transports, hospitals, and schools. We think that this is a nice touch, knowing that this will be highly considered by those who will be moving to the city.

It’s also quite impressive how they have an online portal to keep all reports, statements of account, as well as invoices – free to access, any time we want!

However, we have reservations when it comes to being passed on from one property manager to another. We believe that this can be inevitable at times, but it would help if they can provide a more seamless transition and turnover.

Nonetheless, we still think that they are worth a shot, especially that they take training and seminars seriously. Knowing that Bees Nees knows the latest trends and systems in the industry earns them top marks from us!

On the other hand, we like how their great customer service is backed up with a guarantee. It gives us peace of mind, knowing that Bees Nees City Realty will manage the property for free should we be unhappy with their service.

Glad to say this has not happened over the years, which tells us how serious their real estate agents are in giving better, personalised service to their clientele.

5. Hutton & Hutton Real Estate

Variety of Listings4/5

Pros

  • Available chatbot on website
  • Low deposit rate
  • Available home loan partners

Cons

  • Quite challenging to request for maintenance in rental properties
  • Small team of agents

A smaller group of agents compared to its counterparts, Hutton & Hutton Real Estate is dedicated to deliver remarkable services, whether the property renting, selling, or buying.

Our team appreciates the focus the Hutton & Hutton real estate agents put into selling a property. We like how they thought of scheduling property inspections more than the average, which tells us that there will also be better chances of getting follow throughs.

We’re even more impressed to see the number of properties they have sold because of their outstanding remarkable process. This tells us how dedicated they are in making their campaigns work.

It’s also quite notable to see a good list of properties on sale on their website. We like that the listings are complete with all the necessary details, which even includes the date with the finest offer.

What we like about the company’s real estate agents is that they assist clients in making sound decisions when it comes to buying properties. We think that this is a nice touch, knowing that they take time in looking after their clients’ lifestyle.

However, since they only have a small team. It is understandable that getting assigned to a real estate agent may take more time than usual.

In terms of rates, we appreciate that Hutton & Hutton offers a low deposit, which is not more than 10% of the contract. On top of that, the company can even hook their clients to good lenders with competitive offers.

Though the company seems to be handling the selling and buying aspects of real estate pretty well, we think there’s still room for improvement when it comes to their rental department.

We’ve heard quite a few complaints, which involve maintenance concerns on rental properties. We think that Hutton & Hutton needs to exert more effort in attending to these requests to improve the living conditions of the renters.
