Pros
- Organised process
- Professional and efficient staff
Cons
- 24/7 hotline is always busy
- Doesn’t inform client about changes in the day of cremation
Newhaven Funeral Directors Brisbane is known for its organised planning process. According to customers we’ve talked to, they never had problems from planning the funeral until the cremation—everything went off without a hitch!
When you call them, the staff immediately goes to your home and helps you take care of the paperwork, which to us, is very convenient. Then the staff plans everything with you, making sure to take note of every detail you prefer.
We appreciate this type of service because we can see how the company’s involved every step of the way. In fact we love how despite the staff preparing everything for you, you’re still updated every step of the way so you know what’s happening.
Speaking of the staff, we also love how Newhaven’s people talk to the clients. They’re very sympathetic in their approach but not patronising, which makes clients feel respected—very commendable!
However, the 24/7 hotline is always busy, and some clients we talked to complained that the staff who answered the phone knew very little information, so we hope the company can train them more.
Another thing—sometimes Newhaven forgets to inform the client regarding changes in the schedule of cremation. This isn’t just any service, it’s for a deceased loved one; so as clients, we’ll appreciate it if we’re informed if there’s delay or switch in dates.
Other than those two though, we still recommend Newhaven because of its overall service. It’s very organised and the staff guides you with the process so you’ll spend less time worrying and more time paying your last respects.

Pros
- Affordable
- Smooth process for everything
Cons
- Late response to email inquiries
- Delays in the delivery of the ashes
Bare Cremation stays true to making things convenient at such an emotional time for clients. The company does every cremation process for you so you can focus on taking care of other things in relation to your departed loved ones.
According to its former clients, Bare Cremation’s staff are the best. They’re respectful and sympathetic, making them feel that they’re being cared for—plus, they didn’t intrude too much on the grieving time and did everything by themselves without delays.
Bare Cremation’s packages are very affordable too. We love that you don’t need to spend too much for a respectful memorial and cremation services for your departed loved ones.
We love how even in the delivery of the ashes, Bare Cremation has several options. It can hand-deliver the ashes straight to your door, or if you prefer, the company can mail the ashes or collect it from a local provider.
Speaking of ashes delivery, we want to tell you to expect delays at times, most especially if the company has several clients. However, we think you might be relieved to know that Bare Cremation makes sure to inform you so you won’t be left in the dark.
Just a little warning from us though—you might get late responses in emails. It’s probably better if you call for easier communication.
Overall, we recommend Bare Cremation to those who want a flawless funeral and cremation process. What we need during such times in our lives is a service provider that allows us time to grieve and not worry about other things.

Pros
- Quick response time
- Offers bespoke cremation services
Cons
- Extra charges
- Little options for accessing videos and photos
What we love most about Swanborough Funerals is that it offers bespoke cremation services. The team is there with you from planning to execution, making sure to deliver all the requests and details you need for the cremation services.
We also appreciate the company’s response time. The moment you call the company, someone will immediately answer, get your details, and dispatch people to your home with no delays.
This type of service immediately makes the funeral and cremation process easier for the families of the deceased. We love how the efficiency of the staff contributes to making things easier for the clients, allowing them to focus more on attending to other things.
Another thing we love—the company has several cremation packages for you to choose from. You don’t need to worry about a single thing—all you need to do is choose, and a team of experts will do everything for you.
According to past clients, they loved almost everything about Swanborough’s cremation services except the access to photos and videos. It uses software that isn’t accessible to clients who aren’t registered, and there are no other options.
We also aren’t in favour of the extra charges that are added to your bill after. Everything was planned in the beginning, so if there are additional expenses, it means the company missed a few details, making it inconvenient for the clients.
Despite some minor setbacks, Swanborough has a very efficient team that will deliver your last requests for your departed loved ones. Whether you prefer to keep the ashes or transform it into something else for keeps, the company can help you.

Pros
- Strictly follows what the client wants
- Always updates the family
Cons
- Technical problems during ceremonies
- Not suited for large funerals
When we asked some of its former clients at Kenton Ross Funerals, they told us that it made sure to adhere to every request they had. The company strictly follows all the details the client wants and makes sure to deliver them exactly how they want it.
This is probably the reason why the team makes sure to always be in contact with the family. We appreciate how they regularly give updates and checks up on the family once in a while.
The company’s very caring and accommodating too! As long as the company can do your last-minute requests, they will do so without any questions– because the company understands how important creating last memories is for the family.
Kenton’s cremation services are very budget-friendly. You can give your departed loved ones a proper funeral without spending too much.
We just notice one thing though—Kenton Ross is probably not suited for a large funeral. There are technical problems in terms of playing music and memorial videos, which can be a bit bothersome for the ceremony.
However, these things can still be improved on, which makes us add Kenton Ross on our list. Because when it comes to other aspects, the company delivers top-notch service that allows clients to focus more on personal things like family and relatives.

Pros
- Good communication with clients
- Attention to details
Cons
- Puts wrong details on the death certificate
- Inefficient payment system
It’s difficult to talk when you have just experienced a great deal of loss, but Just Cremate Me makes things better because the staff easily understands the details. You don’t need to explain things repeatedly because they easily get what you want.
In addition to this, the staff are incredibly helpful—always easy to contact and clarify things with. We appreciate it if a service provider is always available to talk to us because we easily get answers to our questions.
The attention to details is also commendable—from the planning to the execution of the funeral program. Until the cremation process itself, everything goes smoothly because the staff arrange everything for you.
Just Cremate Me prides itself on making your last goodbyes to your departed loved one really beautiful and memorable. We love the consistency in the flow of the program and the visual and audio features the company provides.
We’re just a little turned off about the inefficient payment system though. Some former clients told us that their payment wouldn’t push through so they had to do the process again and again—this is totally not a good thing!
Also, we hope the staff working on the death certificate can be a little more cautious. Some of them make mistakes in putting details on the certificate like the date and place of cremation, and this requires the process to be redone again, causing delays.
