Takoyaki or grilled octopus balls is a Japanese street food staple that’s surely a must try! They’re little round balls of wheat flour batter with pieces of octopus at the center grilled in a special molded pan.
It’s soft with a slight crisp on the outside with chewy octopus on the inside topped with green onions, bonito flakes, takoyaki sauce, and tempura scraps. Every Genki Market Sunday definitely has one of these stalls, so make sure to try them!
Just be careful when it’s freshly grilled as it’s gonna be boiling hot!
