Pros
- Offers training sessions for care providers
- Offers speech therapy for both children and adults
Cons
- Usually busier in the afternoon
- No appointments on weekends
More than building a good relationship and connection with each client, Bloom Therapy values the support of families and caregivers in order to create a nurturing environment. That’s why they have a spot on our list of the best speech therapy centers in Brisbane!
We love that their work doesn’t stop with their clients, but also extends to parents and family members.
It’s great that they have a range of services for individuals as well as groups for both children and adults.
They can help with issues such as speech sound delay and disorders, expressive and receptive language difficulties, social skills, stuttering, and literacy, among others.
If you’re a care provider at home or at a facility, we like that they also offer training sessions. This is for those who assist individuals who have complex communication needs or those who require mealtime support.
It’s also good to know that all of their speech therapists are members of Speech Pathology Australia. With this, they stay up-to-date with the latest speech therapy tools and techniques.
We also appreciate that they have the Bloom Hub for $50 per session. This is a space for adults only who’d like to connect with others and at the same time, develop their skills through a variety of activities.
A downside that we saw is that the clinic is usually busy in the afternoon. So it’s probably better to arrange appointments in the morning.

Pros
- Offers school-based therapy sessions
- Offers voice production therapy for children and adults
- Ample parking space
Cons
- Practice doesn’t handle adults with neurological conditions/complex communication needs
- Charges late cancellation fee
Judy Marin Speech Pathology is one of the best speech therapy centers in Brisbane for their wealth of experience in addressing difficulties in speech, learning, and feeding.
Some of the specific issues they address are speech sound pronunciation, stuttering, following directions, speech delay, sentence construction, and storytelling.
Their clinic is located at Albany Creek and we like that it has ample parking space. It’s great that they also offer a school-based service particularly at All Saints Primary School.
This is very convenient for students at the school who require speech intervention. They won’t have to attend sessions at the clinic anymore since sessions can be done in school.
For those who have difficulties with voice production, it’s great that they also offer therapy sessions for this for both children and adults.
However, adults with complex communication needs or neurological conditions can’t be accommodated by the practice. But they can recommend experienced speech pathologists in these areas.
In addition, it’s good to know that they welcome NDIS participants and GP medicare referrals. For payment options, electronic fund transfer, as well as HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service) and any eligible rebates are accepted.
Also, just take note that they charge late cancellation fees. So if you need to cancel an appointment, be sure to inform them at least 48 hours prior.

Pros
- Provides online speech therapy sessions
- Can be accessed anywhere in Australia
- Caters to children, teenagers, and adults
Cons
- Doesn’t have an option for face-to-face sessions
- Sessions might have disruptions due to weak internet connection
Care Speech Pathology is a superb choice as they cater to children, teenagers, and adults with speech difficulties. What’s great about them is that they make speech therapy accessible by offering online sessions.
This is great as they can assist individuals with complex communication needs no matter where they are in Australia.
We love that it’s very convenient as you won’t be required to travel, which also saves the family time and money.
They call their online sessions Speech Therapy via Video. Of course, an initial consultation is required to discuss the needs of the individual which is priced at $225 for a 60-minute session via Zoom.
They don’t have any fixed packages which include a specific number of sessions as the required hours would be different for every client. So they only offer standard therapy sessions at $180 and short sessions at $145.
It’s good to know that their price points are rather reasonable and are within the average speech therapy rates.
Having everything online is really convenient, but it also has its setbacks. If internet connection is rather intermittent, then this will result in session disruptions which would be quite a hassle.
Also, if you and your child prefer face-to-face onsite speech therapy sessions, then you would have to look elsewhere as they only provide online therapy.

Pros
- Specializes in pediatric stuttering
- Offers Stuttering Toolkit course for parents
- Therapy sessions are mostly online
Cons
- Only caters to children ages 2 – 12 years old
- Onsite sessions are limited
Exceed Speech is another superb choice and would surely help your child exceed their potential with the help of speech pathologist Dr. Kerianne Druker.
Dr. Druker has a PhD in pediatric stuttering and specializes in a range of other areas. This includes articulation, literacy, language, social communication, and executive functioning.
Since she has a PhD in pediatric stuttering, we think she’s one of the best options if you’re looking for an expert in this area.
The good news is, she even has a Stuttering Toolkit! This is an online course designed for parents to provide them with the needed knowledge and tools to help them support their child in overcoming stuttering.
The program is priced at $197 which will give you access to online videos which will be available for you for 1 year. We think this is a pretty good deal to supplement your child’s therapy sessions so you can be equipped with useful information.
Take note that therapy sessions are mostly done via telehealth sessions online. A lot of parents love the accessibility and convenience of online speech therapy sessions, which can also motivate kids and parents to be consistent in attending sessions.
In addition, Dr. Druker only caters to children from 2 – 12 years old. Also, if you prefer face to face sessions for your child, onsite sessions might be limited and online therapy is the preferred option.
