Pros
- In the business for over 35 years
- A range of gravel sizes available
- Offers same-day delivery
Cons
- Understaffed during peak hours/days
- Does not update availability of products on website
Centenary Landscaping is one of the top pea gravel suppliers in Brisbane, as they’re a multi-awarded landscaping supplier that’s been in the business for over 35 years!
They have a wide range of landscaping products available. Specifically, their gravel products range from pea or drainage gravel of different sizes to recycled drainage gravel, bush rocks, and sandstone rocks.
It’s great that you can choose from several sizes of their pea gravel, from 5mm and 10mm, to 20mm and 50mm, with prices starting from $78 per tonne. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, their recycled drainage gravel starts from $63 per tonne.
We like that they’re a one-stop shop for all your landscaping needs. They have construction materials such as cement, timber, sands and blends, as well as supplies for gardening, lawn care, paving, and retaining walls.
It’s good to know that they have efficient and reliable delivery, too, with their large fleet of a total of 35 trucks that ensure safe and timely delivery. What’s more, they offer same-day delivery, but this would also depend on the quantity of your order.
We found it easy to order through their website as well, where you can choose a pick-up or delivery option. However, some customers shared about some instances when the availability of products isn’t updated on their website.
They have several shops across Brisbane and nearby areas, but during peak hours or days, it can get really busy. So, this means you might have to wait awhile before getting assistance from the staff.

Pros
- Diverse range of gravel products
- Quick delivery
Cons
- Gravel prices are a bit steep
- Customer service needs improvement
What’s great about Nuway Landscape Supplies Pavers & Walls is that they have a diverse assortment of pea gravel types!
You can choose from a selection of gravel products such as coal gravel, riverbank pebbles, sandstone gravel, and more.
When it comes to other landscaping needs, they have a wide range of materials such as natural and organic soils, pavers, blocks, garden edging, fertilizers, and hardware.
While we found their pricing for most landscaping supplies generally reasonable, we couldn’t say the same for the cost of their gravel products. Their pea gravel starts from $105.90 per cubic meter, which we thought was a bit steep.
But what’s great about them is that you can expect delivery same-day or on the next. They also have several locations across Brisbane and Queensland, so you’ll have the option to choose the store that’s nearest you, which can lower delivery costs as well.
An important area that needs improvement is their customer service, as we heard about unpleasant experiences from customers, both in-store and over the phone.

Pros
- In the business since 1981
- Offers pre-bagged gravel if you only need a small amount
- Provides reusable bulk bags
Cons
- Delivery fees are a bit pricey
- Instances of orders not being prepared on time for customer pick-up
Rock ‘n’ Soil, formerly Tingalpa Landscaping Supplies, has been in the business since 1981, which makes them one of the most trusted landscaping suppliers in Brisbane!
They’re a great choice if you’re looking to buy pea gravel in small amounts as they have pre-bagged gravel available in a variety of types and sizes. This includes red sandstone gravel, recycled gravel, and fossil gray gravel.
Their 5mm pea gravel starts from $14, which is a good price especially if you don’t need to buy in bulk.
But if you do need to buy in bulk, good news is that they have bulk bags available, which also makes pick-up or delivery more convenient. Another great thing about them is that you can reuse them whenever you need new supplies!
For your other landscaping and gardening needs, we like that they provide a myriad of products that are of high quality. They have soil, ground covers, and turf, as well as construction materials, landscaping accessories, pavers, garden edging, and more.
While their delivery service is known to be quick and reliable, fees are a little bit higher than most. Also, we learned about some instances when orders weren’t prepared on time for customer pick-up, leading to some inconvenience.
But these might be just isolated cases, and overall, we recommend Rock ‘n’ Soil for your landscaping and gardening needs. They’ve been in the business for decades and we know they’re the go-to supplier for a lot of customers.

Pros
- Ideal for pea gravel purchases in smaller quantities
- In the business since 1983
- Speedy delivery
Cons
- Pea gravel is more expensive for bulk orders
- Fees will be charged for order returns
If you need gardening and landscaping supplies, you can count on Steve Jones to deliver right away!
Yes, Steve Jones is an actual person and he’s been in the business since 1983, making him a reputable name in the landscaping industry.
If you’re looking for pea gravel, we love that they have one of the largest collections of gravel and pebble types around. So, if you check their website or visit their store, you’d be amazed at their wide selection of products!
They have all sorts of gravel, from drainage gravel and river gravel, to sunset sandstone, daintree, and tumbled grey stone. They also have decorative granite, river spalls, urban mix, and more.
You can get a bag (approx. 30L) of 5mm pea gravel for $14.50, which is perfect if you only need a minimal quantity. However, we noticed that their pricing for bulk purchases per cubic meter seems a bit hefty.
The price for their 5mm pea gravel is $128.75 per cubic meter, while 20mm recycled drainage gravel is $77.45 per cubic meter. These price points are a bit more expensive in our opinion.
In the event that you change your mind and return your order, take note that they charge several fees. This includes delivery fees, handling fees, and restocking fees.
Nevertheless, we trust that Steve Jones always provides high quality supplies and efficient delivery.

Pros

- Offers cheaper wholesale prices
Cons
- Prices don’t include GST
- Cancellation fee charge is $150 + GST
Brisbane Soils is the one you should call if you need to buy pea gravel in huge bulks! They offer wholesale prices as they deliver directly from the manufacturer, and this makes their products approximately 40% cheaper than other stores.
Of course, this is ideal if you’re ordering 5 cubic meters of gravel and above. Their 10mm pea gravel is priced at $380 for 5 cubic meters.
They also have smaller sizes of 5mm to 7mm of pea gravel at $450, while river pebbles and blue metal gravel are available as well. Just take note that prices don’t include GST, so make sure to ask for the total with GST.
If you’re around the South Brisbane area, good news is that you can get free delivery, which will definitely save you some costs.
For your other gardening and landscaping needs like garden soil, compost, mulch, turf, and concrete blends, they’re also available at wholesale prices.
If you need to order any other gardening supplies in bulk, then this is the perfect place – go start that veggie garden you’ve always wanted!
Just take note that if you cancel an order less than two hours prior to the delivery schedule, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee of $150 + GST.
