I spent an afternoon chatting with a graduate from their Milton campus who loved the focus on hands-on spa hours.

Just keep in mind that most of the curriculum centres on Continuing Professional Education (CPE) short courses. 

While these are brilliant for existing therapists stacking extra skills, total beginners won’t get the long foundational hours needed to secure independent numbers with Australian health fund providers.

This fully accredited qualification means graduates can secure official provider numbers with major private health funds. With this setup, your future clients can easily claim insurance rebates, and you can build a busy practice fast.

The scheduling is also a big win for busy parents and working professionals. 

For starters, the school compresses on-campus practical classes into 2-day blocks that only meet every 3 or 4 weeks. They also have a digital platform that lets you complete supervised practice hours safely from home.

The main downside is the lack of international student registration. The college is not on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), so you can’t enrol if you’re in Australia on a student visa.

On the bright side, they’re approved for federal VET Student Loans (VSL), which can help cover your tuition.

Plus, they use a structured, whole-body system that gives beginners a reliable routine they can follow safely right away. After watching a friend complete this exact weekend course, I was amazed at how confident she felt handling real clients.

Graduating here also gives you immediate access to national employment registries and industry insurance. You can even join the Massage Association of Australia (MAA) right after finishing.

The clear drawback is that these short certificates aren’t part of a government-accredited diploma. That means local clients can’t claim private health rebates for your treatments, so it isn’t the right fit if you want to work in a medical clinic.

Another aspect I appreciate is that their intensive courses run over 2 days, which makes readiness for independent practice quick and simple. It’s also great that their certificates are recognised in 35 countries, perfect for mobile businesses.

That said, they have a highly specialised focus and fewer technical health courses than mainstream trade schools. You won’t find heavy sports medicine or clinical pathology in their catalogue. 

The course calendar also runs on irregular pop-up dates, so missing a weekend can mean waiting months for it to come back around.
