Pros

  • Offers a range of audiology services
  • Affordable rates
  • 50% discount for pensioners and veterans

Cons

  • Limited clinic hours on Fridays and Saturdays
  • A bit far from the CBD

Sandgate Hearing is one of the top ear cleaning clinics we found in Brisbane as they offer excellent service along with affordable rates!

One of the things that we love about them is that the staff are very helpful and friendly. They would greet you with a smile upon entering their clinic and are happy to assist!

Another thing that’s great about them is that they’re an independent audiology clinic that offers a range of services.

This includes earwax removal through microsuction, professional hearing tests for adults and children, hearing aid supply and fitting, and tinnitus consultation.

We’re also happy to hear that their ear cleaning technique through microsuction is guaranteed to be the safest earwax removal method. Their audiologist is trained and accredited to handle equipment for cleaning and tests, which is good to know.

What’s more is, we found that their ear cleaning service fee is really affordable at $96 for both ears! We think it’s a very good deal considering their good service reputation.

In addition, we also appreciate that they provide a 50% discounted rate for pensioners and veterans.

However, while it’s good that they’re open on Saturdays, they’re only available in the morning and they have limited clinic hours on Fridays as well.

Pros

  • Highly rated ear cleaning service
  • Service focuses on ear cleaning only
  • Long clinic hours including Saturdays

Cons

  • No-shows will be charged the full consultation fee
  • Charges $50 for late cancellations

You’ll totally smile from ear to ear knowing that you’ll be in good hands with Total Ear Hygiene!

We included them on our list as they’re one of the highest rated ear cleaning clinics in Brisbane!

What’s great about them is that they solely specialize in ear cleaning handled by registered nurses, so that’s why a lot of clients choose them for that particular service.

We love that they call themselves the “experts in ear hygiene.” And we can see that their years of experience in ear cleaning and high client satisfaction can surely attest to that.

Their standard fee for ear cleaning is $105, which we think is quite affordable as well. There will be cases that ear cleaning won’t be necessary so they would only charge $60 for consultation, which is not bad at all.

We also find booking for appointments convenient through their website. You can easily choose a time slot and consultations and ear cleaning would typically last 30 minutes.

It’s great that they have longer hours as well compared to other ear cleaning clinics as we can also schedule appointments on Saturdays.

However, their no-show fee is equivalent to the full price of $105 and late cancellations will be charged $50. So just be sure to make it to your scheduled appointment on time and cancel early if needed to avoid unwanted charges.

Pros

  • Multiple locations in Brisbane and nationwide
  • A range of services that address hearing concerns
  • Offers free hearing check at their clinics

Cons

  • Some instances of clients being charged additional fees
  • Closed on weekends

You can definitely count on iHear to listen to all your ear hygiene and hearing concerns as they offer a range of services.

What we love about them is that they have multiple locations within Brisbane and across Australia, so finding one of their clinics won’t be a problem.

We also appreciate that we can schedule a free hearing check at their clinic. And if you think you’re experiencing hearing loss, you can take a 5-minute hearing test online to check for yourself.

When it comes to ear cleaning, they use two methods. They either use curettage, which is the preferred method of ENT surgeons, or microsuction, which is a safe, gentle, and effective way to remove earwax.

We also like that the staff are very helpful, professional, and provide useful information during consultations.

If you have other hearing concerns, it’s great that they offer a range of other services. This includes hearing aids, hearing aid consultation and repair, hearing tests, ear protection, and tinnitus treatment.

However, some clients shared that there were instances when they were charged extra for cleaning of the other ear. They said it wasn’t quite clear if the fee was for only one or both ears.

Another downside is, they’re closed on weekends, so appointments can only be scheduled on weekdays until 4:30pm.

Pros

  • Offers extensive hearing services
  • Affordable rates for ear cleaning at $99 for both ears
  • No need for referral from GP or ENT

Cons

  • Appointment slots might fill up fast on some days
  • Closed on weekends

What we love about A Better Ear is they really take the time to understand each client’s unique hearing needs.

Apart from earwax removal, we like that they provide an extensive range of services as well. They specialize in adult hearing rehabilitation which includes hearing aids, hearing tests, and tinnitus treatment.

Another thing we like is that they also accommodate hearing tests virtually, which we think is a convenient option for other clients.

We’d also like to highlight that they’re a fully accredited provider of the Hearing Services Program (HSP) of the Australian government. This offers eligible patients access to quality hearing assistance services, which is great.

Their rates for ear cleaning is also quite affordable as well at $99 for both ears. The whole procedure would just take around 30 minutes and the method they use is microsuction, which we learned is the safest and most effective ear cleaning method.

We also like that you can have the option to see the extracted results for yourself through their video otoscope.

However, a downside that we saw is that the clinic is not open on weekends. And since it’s a top-rated clinic with only one branch, appointment slots might fill up fast on some days.

Pros

  • Largest network of professional ear cleaning services in Australia
  • Sole focus on earwax removal
  • Chermside clinic is open on Saturdays

Cons

  • Rate is higher than other clinics
  • Charges late cancellation fee

What sets Earworx apart from other ear cleaning clinics is that they have multiple locations nationwide that’s dedicated to providing safe and effective earwax removal. This makes them the largest professional ear cleaning clinic network in Australia!

We found it convenient that they have two locations in Brisbane – in Chermside and Woolloongabba, and it’s great that their Chermside clinic is open on Saturdays. However, their Woolloongabba clinic is only open on weekdays.

We’d like to highlight that Earworx specializes in removing impacted earwax through the use of microsuction technology. And it’s good to know that highly trained registered nurses will handle the cerumen (earwax) removal procedure.

Their ear cleaning service is priced at $135, which we found to be more expensive compared to other clinics. While they offer a concession of $105 for eligible patients such as children, pensioners, students, and health card holders.

Meanwhile, if cleaning isn’t necessary, they would take $60 off the standard rate, which is reasonable. Though we think it’s still a bit pricey for a consultation only fee.

Furthermore, we were told that they charge a late cancellation fee of 50% of the full fee. So just take note that if you need to cancel, inform them at least 24 hours prior.
