7 Best Dietitians in Brisbane

How We Picked the Best Dietitians in Brisbane

Services: We looked at what each dietitian or clinic has to offer, from consultations, meal planning and analysis, general health and nutrition, and more.
Quality of Service: We evaluated the knowledge and expertise of the dietitians, as well as their professional and educational backgrounds.
Professionalism: We chatted with some patients and clients about their experience consulting with the dietitians.
Cost: We checked if professional fees being charged are reasonable and if they offer any packages.

Pros

  • Specialises in women’s health and overall gut health
  • Promotes intuitive eating and a positive relationship with food

Cons

  • Limited operating hours
  • Closed Fridays to Sundays

We recommend Inner Health Nutrition because they genuinely want clients to enjoy food without the stress of following a strict and usually unhealthy diet.

We appreciate how they emphasize that being able to enjoy food is one of the best things to share and experience in life. They reiterate how it’s essential to our overall health and happiness.

We love that their approach is to focus on the improvement of their client’s relationship with food and not the other way around, such as enforcing strict restrictions.

The clinic is headed by Elissa Robins who specializes in Gastroenterology or conditions that affect the digestive system. We like that she’s dedicated to discovering and providing solutions for people who have such health issues.

Her team of dietitians are also dedicated to helping women know their bodies better with expertise in clients who have PCOS and other hormonal imbalances.

When it comes to their services, we like that they promote intuitive eating wherein the focus is not on your weight, but as their name suggests – inner health and well-being through a better relationship with food.

As for pricing, their initial consultation costs $200 for 60 minutes and $180 for subsequent sessions. We think their fees are fairly reasonable given their expertise in different digestive health conditions.

The only downside that we saw is that their operating hours are quite limited and they’re closed Friday to Sundays. So if you want to book an appointment, just make sure to free up your schedule earlier in the week.

Pros

  • Specializes in simple and practical nutrition solutions
  • Offers free discovery call

Cons

  • Charges additional fee for extended session
  • No-shows will be charged full consultation amount

We recommend New Life Nutrition if you’re looking to consult with a dietitian as it’s composed of a strong team with years of experience handling different clinical and lifestyle-based nutritional issues.

What’s great about them is that they specialize in providing personalized lifestyle solutions that are simple, practical, and easy to digest.

They are also experts when it comes to identifying and treating gastrointestinal problems which include IBS and bloating, hemorrhoids, and lactose and gluten intolerance, among others.

The clinic is headed by dietitian, Julie Masci, and she specializes in handling such cases. She has a special interest in weight management as well.

Apart from providing services to individuals, they also offer corporate nutrition services. We think this is a great way to educate employees about general healthy eating and having good food as fuel to boost your energy.

When it comes to their fees, they charge $145 for a 45-minute standard initial consultation. And if you’d like to book a session with Julie, the cost will be higher at $240 for a 45 to 60-minute session.

Meanwhile, extended sessions will be charged at a higher price. We think the cost is alright but perhaps it would be better if the standard initial consultation will be locked at 1 hour.

  • Offers free 15-minute discovery call

Cons

  • Operating hours might be confusing

All Bodies Services Dietitians & Nutritionists also has a powerhouse team of experts who specialize in sports nutrition.

What’s great about them is that they all are very active in their respective sports as well and we think it’s good to talk to someone who shares similar experiences as an athlete.

The clinic is directed by Hannah Wilson, a sports dietitian, who used to compete in athletics when she was younger. She now specializes in giving advice to athletes who play team sports and those undergoing rehab due to an injury.

Having had a wrong perception about the right diet when she was competing before inspired her to help others in fueling their bodies to achieve peak performance without compromising their overall long-term health.

Apart from athletes, Hannah also provides coaching for couples which is priced at $300 for 75 minutes. We think this is already a fair price for two people and the time allotted is just right.

What’s more is, she also offers a free 15-minute discovery call if you’re a new client. The fees also vary depending on the dietitian or nutritionist.

A member of their team,  Claudia Massarella, is also a sports dietitian who specializes in endurance sports, gut health and IBS, and weight loss. She charges $185 for a 60-minute session.

Meanwhile, Grace Ingram, a performance dietitian, specializes in women’s health, fertility, and pregnancy, as well as food relationships and eating disorders.

It’s great that they all have different specializations so clients will be able to choose the right dietitian for them. Just take note of their schedules as they have different consultation times, but they are all available for online consultations.

Cons

What we love about Tree of Life Nutrition is that they also take into account the family  dynamic, apart from your individual lifestyle.

We think it’s also important to look at the family or household’s general diet and lifestyle as it plays a significant part in how we build our eating habits.

Tree of Life has been in operation since 1993 and has been founded and headed by Desi Carlos.

She has been in the field of nutrition for 30 years and is well-known for her expertise in gastrointestinal nutrition. She’s also passionate about gut microbiome health.

Her team is composed of dietitians and nutritionists, a psychologist, and an exercise physiologist. We think her team is already a complete package with each specializing in different health needs and issues.

The clinic also features a wide range of services, from individual consultations, meal planning, scientific diet analysis, to supermarket tours and school and corporate nutrition.

They also offer menu analysis for restaurants to help them analyze their food selection in terms of nutrients. They can also help with the endorsement of food with health claims such as low sodium, gluten-free, low fat, low sugar, etc.

In addition, they also have frozen meals available for purchase on their website, which is very convenient for those looking for well-prepared, healthy meals.

If you’re planning on booking him as your dietitian, just take note that he has a minimum requirement of a 3-month commitment once you choose him.
