Pros
- Great value for money
- Highly rated breakfast buffet
Cons
- Guests who arrive late might miss out on some of the food items
- Only paid parking available at the hotel
The Walnut Restaurant & Lounge Bar has alway been the talk of the town with its exceptional food and service. You can find the restaurant at the Royal on the Park Hotel in South Bank and it’s one of the most highly rated breakfast buffets in Brisbane!
That’s why they get an instant spot on our list of the best breakfast buffets in the city. We keep coming back to this gem in South Bank, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, or some cocktails, we always have a great time!
If you’re searching for a breakfast buffet that’ll be worth every penny, this is a superb choice! For $37 per person, you’ll get all your breakfast faves, from eggs, omelets, toast, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, assorted bread and pastries, and more!
You can also opt to choose their Continental Breakfast buffet for $29.5 per person. This is a great choice if you only want to “eat light,” but it’ll surely be equally filling as well.
Apart from the food, we’d like to commend the service from their staff as they’re always welcoming and responsive to any requests.
Another special thing about the place is that the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is just a short walk away. We like taking a nice long walk through the gardens after our meal!
If you’re planning to dine here for breakfast, just make sure to choose an early schedule around 7am or 8am so you can get the most out of the buffet. If you arrive at a later time, most of the food might not be available anymore.
In addition, only paid parking is available at the hotel and slots might be limited, too. So it would be better to just take public transport.

Pros
- Expansive breakfast buffet selection
- Stunning views while you dine
Cons
- Steep pricing
- Breakfast buffet on Sundays are only for hotel guests
Suzette at Sofitel Brisbane is another go-to destination for a breakfast buffet in the city for those seeking to savor hearty servings of the most important meal of the day!
Their Full Buffet breakfast is priced at $45 for adults and $23 for kids. You can also choose their Continental Buffet for $40 for adults and $20 for kids.
There’s only a small difference between the rates for the full buffet and continental buffet. So we’d say it would be better to choose the former, especially if you have the appetite.
We find the pricing to be a bit steep. But based on our previous visits, we surely got our money’s worth with their expansive breakfast selections.
This includes an eggs and omelet station, freshly baked pastries, seasonal fruits and juices, as well as international dishes.
What’s more, you’ll get to take in stunning views of the city skyline while you indulge in a delightful breakfast spread! If you’re not in the mood for a full buffet feast, we recommend ordering from their a la carte menu.
There are just some things to take note of if you’re planning on visiting. First, the breakfast buffet is strictly for in-house guests only on Sundays.
Second, they have a dress code policy for guests at Suzette. So just remember to be in smart casual wear when dining in.

Pros
- Breakfast buffet is free for kids up to 6 years old
- Well-spaced tables
- Wide assortment of breakfast food
Cons
- Dinner menu is overpriced
- 15% public holiday surcharge
Another must-try breakfast buffet in Brisbane is Spice Central Kitchen & Bar at Novotel in Southbank.
We love the sophisticated modern, yet simple atmosphere of the venue. Tables are well-spaced, which is nice, as there’s still privacy and you won’t feel too cramped even when it’s crowded.
You can try their breakfast buffet available daily at $39 for adults. If you’re bringing kids with you, good news is that children up to 6 years old can dine for free, while kids aged 7 to 12 can dine for $19.
They also offer a continental breakfast buffet for $25. We found their rates to be quite reasonable for the selection and quality of food that they offer.
Their breakfast buffet includes unlimited barista-made coffee, juices, smoothies, and tea. There’s also an omelet and bread station and a wide variety of hot and cold dishes.
One of our favorite stations in their buffet is the yogurt and cereal section, as they offer a wide assortment of cereals, yogurts, as well as yummy chia pudding.
While we highly recommend their breakfast buffet, unfortunately, we couldn’t say the same for their dinner service. Their dinner menu is quite overpriced and the quality of food did not meet our expectations.
To conclude, we still think the breakfast buffet is worth it. If you’re staying at Novotel, you should definitely avail of their breakfast, then just find another place for dinner.

Cons
- Expensive rates
- Only valet parking is available at $60

Their buffet breakfast is the most expensive on our list at $49 for adults and $24 for kids ages 4 to 12 years old. But we think it’s still worth the try and an awesome choice especially if you’re celebrating an occasion.
The restaurant’s buffet consists of a selection of hot and cold dishes, an omelet station, a build your own bagel station, and barista coffee and tea. If you’re not in the mood for a breakfast buffet, you can always choose from their a la carte menu.
If you’re planning to dine in for breakfast, take note that their breakfast is walk-in only. We recommend coming in early between 7 and 8am to get a good table.
Better yet, you can book your stay at W Hotel if you’ve been looking for a great 5-star accommodation in the city. You can also stay for dinner, and make sure to reserve a table with a view for the best experience.
If you’re bringing a car, just note that only valet parking is available at the hotel with a flat rate of $60, which is quite expensive, but convenient nonetheless. If you want cheaper parking, you can check out other paid car parks nearby.

Pros
- Budget-friendly breakfast buffet
- Caters to requests on dietary requirements
- Breakfast is until 11am on weekends
Cons
- Some traffic noise might be heard from outside
- Dinner menu is overpriced
If you’re looking for a cheaper option for a breakfast buffet, we recommend Osteria Roma in Spring Hill at the Pacific Hotel.
Their breakfast is priced at $29 for a full buffet spread, which we found to be a good deal for the food selection they offer.
The buffet has an assortment of bread and pastries, fruits, yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, and a variety of hot and cold dishes. We also appreciate that they’re open to requests when it comes to dietary requirements.
If you’re there on a weekend, it’s great that their breakfast schedule is until 11am so there’s more time to dine and savor the morning.
Another thing we love is the simple and relaxing atmosphere of their al fresco dining. But the downside is, you might hear some traffic noise from outside.
If you’re staying at the hotel and don’t have time to dine in, it’s great that they have a Grab n’ Go option. You can get freshly baked pastry and barista coffee to-go for $9.50.
Furthermore, dining in for lunch or dinner is also a good option if you’re staying at the hotel. You can enjoy good quality Italian dishes, however, dinner menu prices are a bit steep.
Overall, if you find other breakfast buffets to be a bit costly, then you can head to Osteria Roma in Spring Hill for a more budget-friendly option.
