Top 5 Pregnancy Massage Clinics in Brisbane Expecting Mums Will Love

  • Safety and Specialization: I sought clinics with proper certification, knowledge of pregnancy-specific techniques, and clear safety protocols to ensure the safety of mothers and babies.
  • Comfort and Atmosphere: I selected clinics that offer supportive pillows and soothing rooms. Clean facilities and private spaces added to the sense of comfort.
  • Relief and Results: I assessed each clinic by paying attention to how I felt afterward, whether the swelling had eased, or if my sleep had improved.
  • Professionalism and Care: I looked for clinics with therapists who truly listen and adjust their techniques to each stage of pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a beautiful but demanding journey, filled with changes that can leave you feeling both excited and exhausted. From aches and swollen feet to sleepless nights and constant need for relief, I’ve learned just how important it is to find the right kind of support along the way.

Over the years, I’ve tried several pregnancy massage clinics in Brisbane, along with many of my mum friends. We’ve compared notes and shared recommendations.

From these experiences, I’ve compiled a list of the best clinics that I believe offer the best support. Each provides professional expertise and a nurturing touch, creating a relaxing environment where you can feel cared for.

City Cave stands out as more than just a massage clinic. It’s a wellness hub that blends professional therapy with a restorative environment. This massage clinic quickly became my friends’ favorite.

Their therapists are well-trained in remedial and prenatal massage, so you can rest assured about safety. Each session is tailored to your stage of pregnancy, with lighter pressure in sensitive areas.

The facilities are top-notch. They are designed for deep relaxation to help you leave stress at the door. I like that the rooms are softly lit, quiet, and equipped with supportive cushions and ergonomic tables.

Beyond standard massage, City Cave also offers additional wellness treatments. I tried their float therapy, which uses magnesium-rich water to relieve pressure on the body and calm the mind. It’s relaxing, perfect for mums-to-be dealing with fatigue and stress.

However, the price doesn’t appeal to everyone, especially if you’re on a budget. Yet, I still find the amount to be worth it because of the therapists’ professionalism and the consistency of their work quality.

Pros

  • Qualified prenatal and remedial massage therapists
  • Pregnancy-specific techniques
  • Calm and relaxing clinic atmosphere
  • Explains safety protocols clearly

Cons

  • Not the cheapest option
  • Limited appointment slots during peak times

Relaxing atmosphere

“I had my first float therapy session at City Cave Aspley, and it was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, making me feel completely at ease. The float itself was pure bliss—so relaxing and rejuvenating. The facility is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. I left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!”

Sophia O’Farrell is widely regarded in Brisbane for their expertise in pregnancy and remedial massage, and I could attest to this. With specialized training in prenatal care, they offer treatments carefully tailored to each client’s unique needs.

The clinic is specifically designed with expectant mothers in mind. Private treatment rooms are warm and welcoming with extra cushions and adjustable tables.

Sessions are tailored to alleviate common discomforts associated with pregnancy. These include lower back tension, hip tightness, and leg swelling. Many of my friends reported feeling physically lighter after leaving the clinic.

Clear safety protocols are followed from start to finish. I can see why so many expecting mums trust them because their professionalism and care standards truly stand out.

The clinic is more boutique in scale. While I loved the intimate feel, it doesn’t have a full range of wellness facilities. If you’re after a more spa-like experience, this might feel a bit limited.

Pros

  • Specializes in prenatal massage
  • Private, mother-friendly environment
  • Pregnancy-appropriate techniques
  • Supportive equipment
  • Personalized approach with explanations
  • Fair pricing

Cons

  • Limited availability
  • Fewer facilities than larger wellness centers

Experienced staff

“This was my first time getting a massage and spa treatment at Sophia Medi Spa, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Sophia was absolutely fantastic – so incredibly patient, gentle, and truly lovely. You can tell she puts her whole heart into her work, and her experience and knowledge shine through. I felt completely comfortable and cared for. Highly, highly recommend!”

Great value for money

“Very relaxing and rejuvenating massage. Also, sensitive, painful areas of my back and shoulder feel much improved. Great, this service is also eligible for a health fund rebate. Would absolutely recommend”

When my friends and I compared our favorite spots for pregnancy massages, Five Elements came up again and again.

This clinic is renowned for its holistic approach to therapy, which combines pregnancy massage with a range of complementary techniques, including remedial treatments.

What stood out during my visit was how adaptable their therapists were. Other mums also said that every session felt personalized to what their body needed.

The therapists here are skilled at balancing gentle touches with focused pressure where it’s needed most. They are attentive throughout the session and explain how different methods relieve tension in the back, hips, and legs.

The clinic feels like a peaceful sanctuary with soft lighting, gentle music, and spotless rooms. One patient mentioned that the therapist used supportive pregnancy pillows and side-lying positions.

If there’s one drawback, it’s that the atmosphere can feel more clinical than spa-like. During busier hours, when there’s more foot traffic, the background noise can be a little distracting.

But overall, the quality of the massage itself is excellent.

Pros

  • Highly trained therapists
  • Strong focus on prenatal safety and comfort
  • Relaxing environment
  • Effective relief for back pain and swelling
  • Professional and attentive staff

Cons

  • Mid-to-high price point
  • Appointments book up quickly

Well-trained therapist

“I just had a pregnancy massage from Olivia, and it was amazing! Definitely helped with my pelvic, hip, and leg pains, and have intentions of going back before I’m due. Would recommend it to anyone who is pregnant and needs relief.”

Thoughtful equipment

“Had my first 90-minute pregnancy massage at 35 weeks this week with Olivia. I liked that they have a special pregnancy pillow that allows you to lie on your front. Although the massage was uncomfortable at times (because of my tight muscles), I enjoyed it and will come back again!”

The Brisbane Livewell Clinic is well-known for its range of holistic health services, but its pregnancy massage service deserves particular attention. One of my mum’s friends regularly visits this clinic for therapeutic and safe prenatal treatments.

Their therapists are specifically trained in prenatal techniques. Before, the treatment I experienced focused on improving circulation and relieving lower back tension. This is an area that my friends also identified as a persistent discomfort.

The space feels more like a wellness hub than a typical massage room—bright, professional, and carefully maintained. Treatment rooms are clean and calming too.

The therapists’ consistent check-ins helped ensure that each session was tailored to my individual needs.

However, the slightly clinical atmosphere and higher pricing may not appeal to everyone. But the therapists are highly skilled, and the clinic’s polished environment ensures that clients often leave feeling relieved.

Pros

  • Therapists with specialized prenatal training
  • Wellness-focused clinic environment
  • Strong focus on circulation and swelling relief
  • Clean and well-maintained facilities
  • Holistic health services

Cons

  • Higher price point
  • Appointments can be limited during peak times

Professional staff

“I’ve never met a more intentional therapist! Rainie redefined pregnancy massage for me. She really knows how to tune in with my body and give it exactly what it needs. Even areas I didn’t know I needed. It was definitely worth travelling from the South to the North just to see her!”

Well-trained therapist

“The team at Brisbane Livewell Clinic at Cannon Hill is fantastic! Customer service is 5-star with the way they try to prioritise your needs with their availability. Fiona, the massage therapist, is fantastic and very knowledgeable, and always seems to be able to explain the cause of my pain with easy-to-understand explanations. I can not recommend her highly enough!”

Total Body Wellness is a one-stop wellness clinic, but its approach to prenatal massage is what sets it apart for expectant clients. Their therapeutic services include remedial and deep tissue massage, cupping, and specialized treatments for pregnancy.

The therapists here demonstrate clear prenatal training and take time to explain techniques before starting. Sessions are tailored with gentle, rhythmic strokes that target common areas of discomfort.

A particular strength is their focus on lymphatic drainage—a technique that helps reduce swelling in the legs and ankles.

The clinic has a warm, welcoming environment. Soft lighting, gentle music, and calming decor create a serene atmosphere. The therapists’ emphasis on both comfort and targeted techniques creates a balance between relaxation and therapeutic benefit.

The clinic may not feel as niche or specialized as smaller pregnancy-focused centers. However, it offers great value and a spa-like experience for mums-to-be in Brisbane.

Pros

  • Strong prenatal training
  • Rhythmic techniques for pain relief
  • Effective lymphatic drainage for swelling
  • Calming, spa-like environment
  • Fair and reasonable pricing

Cons

  • Limited weekend availability
  • Smaller clinic

Comfortable atmosphere

“I booked a last-minute induction massage with Caroline. The massage was fantastic, it allowed me to fully relax, and I still can’t believe it – but I went into labour that evening spontaneously (which was my dream). I am so grateful I booked in for this and am looking forward to booking a postpartum massage with Caroline soon. Thank you, Total Body Wellness!”

Well-trained therapist

“I had a pregnancy massage with acupuncture by Debra, and it was absolutely Divine. Really listened to my issues and problem areas and worked really well with me. Worth travelling to if you are not from the area like me!”
