Pros
- 3 class levels are available which are suitable for everyone
- Offers a 5-class pass at $50 for first-timers
Cons
- No refunds on classes when canceled at the last minute
- Class packs purchased in one studio location can’t be used in another
What we love about KX Pilates is that they don’t believe in drastic changes, but instead, focus on small, consistent steps that can help bring about long-lasting results.
The studio combines traditional reformer pilates methods with more modern, progressive techniques that are suited to all levels.
Their classes come in three levels – beginner, intermediate, and advanced. We think it’s great that you can choose the difficulty level of the classes and can eventually progress to the next levels with regular practice.
All their classes are 50-minute full-body workouts with a maximum of 12 – 14 students per class.
It’s good that classes aren’t that big so you can ensure that the instructor can assist and keep an eye on everyone during class.
If you’re new to their studio, you’re in luck as they offer a 5-class package for $50. Just be sure to take the classes within 14 days.
They also have two locations in Brisbane which are in Newstead and Carina. However, if you want to switch between studios, you will have to create an account for each and purchase classes separately, so we think it’s best to just stick to one studio.
Another important thing to note is that classes are non-refundable when you cancel at the last minute. So make sure you inform them at least 9 hours before a group class and 24 hours before a private session.

Pros
- Offers 1 week unlimited classes for $15 for first-timers
- Has an option for online studio access at $15 a week
Cons
- Charges $10 for late cancellation
- $15 fee for no-shows
Premium Pilates & Fitness is one of the best Pilates studios in Brisbane because it makes Pilates accessible to everyone by providing the most affordable class rates.
They have two studios located in Coorparoo and Camp Hill. And for only $30 a week, you can already have access to unlimited classes in one studio and $50 for unlimited classes in both studios.
What’s more is, newcomers get a 50% discount on their first week. You can choose from Mat or Reformer Pilates classes, Reformer Jumpboard, Introductory classes, Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates, HIIT, Barre, Stretch, and Yoga.
It’s great to have a lot of class options so you can try out everything and ease into the fitness routine to see which works for you best. You’ll also get to know the teachers more.
For those who can’t attend the in-person classes, it’s very convenient that they also have online studio access at only $15 a week.
However, their cancellation policy seems a bit inconsiderate as some clients mentioned their concerns as they charge $10 for late cancellation and $15 for no-shows.
You can cancel your booking at least 12 hours before the class, but otherwise, fees will be applied.
Another thing is, when you sign up for membership, they automatically charge you for 2 weeks of classes which is $60. But if this studio will be your go-to, then a fortnightly charge won’t be an issue.

Pros
- Maximum of 4 students for a group class
- Personalized sessions
- Offers other treatment and wellness services
Cons
- Steep rates
- Closed on Sundays
To experience The Body Refinery’s classes definitely makes you feel that movement is, indeed, therapy.
They pride themselves for being a center for excellence in movement treatment and instruction for one’s overall wellbeing.
They have fully-accredited instructors and it’s good to know that they regularly undergo training to continuously adapt to the latest teaching methods and principles.
The Body Refinery started as a pure Pilates studio in 2003 but later on expanded its services with different wellness treatments such as physiotherapy, osteopathy, and other rehabilitation treatments.
From what we’ve seen, we think all of their programs serve to complement each other in one’s wellness journey no matter where you are.
Their studio Pilates sessions have a maximum of only 4 clients per class, which makes it very personalized. You can also opt for a duet or a one-on-one session.
Their Pilates class rates are a bit on the steep side with studio group classes at $56 per session, while a duet class is at $75, and a private class at $105. Reformer classes are priced at $36.
For private sessions, you will have an initial consultation with a qualified instructor to discuss your health concerns and fitness goals to make each session well-suited to your needs.
If you want more personalized sessions, then we think it’s worth giving a shot. But if you don’t mind attending a class with a larger group, then it would be better to look elsewhere for more affordable options.

Pros
- Unlimited Barre, Reformer, and Mat Pilates classes for $39 a week
- Offers a variety of Reformer Pilates classes
Cons
- 6-month lock-in for unlimited class package
- Pay additional $20 for non-contracted package
Pilates 26 is one of the best affordable Pilates studios in Brisbane in the Mowbray area. It’s a small, family-owned business with a warm and friendly atmosphere that’s very welcoming especially for beginners.
They have different types of Reformer classes which include Introductory Reformer, Total Reformer, Stretch Reformer, Strength Reformer, Triple A Reformer, Pre and Postnatal, as well as Barre at Mat Pilates classes.
It’s great that you can have a lot of class options to choose from depending on what you need, whether it’s a high intensity full-body workout or a more relaxing session to loosen those tight muscles.
As for their rates, they offer 5 trial sessions priced at $49 for beginners which can be used for Barre, Mat, and Reformer classes within 2 weeks.
For their regular unlimited classes, the rate is $39 per week, which is a great offer. But the catch is, there’s a minimum term of 6 months.
Now, if you’re ready to commit to a regular Pilates routine, then it also serves as a good motivation. But if you want to take a break for a bit, good thing they have a free timehold for 2 to 8 weeks.
But if you’re really not ready to commit and are willing to pay an extra $20, they actually have an unlimited non-contracted package for $59 per week.

Pros
- Local and independent studio
- Class packages have longer expiry periods
- Offers Casual Packages for those who can attend once a week only
Cons
- Charges $10 cancellation fee for last minute notices
- $15 late fee for payments 10 days due
What sets Reform Studio apart from others is that it was intentionally set up within a local community in Mitchelton to bring people together to support everyone’s wellness journey.
If you’re looking for a Pilates studio in Brisbane’s North, then this is one of the best choices. They have classes that’s suitable for everybody including Reformer Fitness Intro and Beginners Class, Reformer Essentials, and Matwork.
Their mat classes also have different types such as Group Matwork which is a combination of Pilates and Yoga exercises.
Apart from that, they also have Stretch and Relax mat sessions, as well as a Floor HIIT class to get your heart rate up.
When it comes to pricing, their offers are fairly reasonable with an introductory 6-class package for $90. This may seem a bit high for an intro deal, but what’s nice about it is that it has a longer expiry period which is 4 weeks.
So that means you have more time to ease into your new Pilates routine and there’s not much pressure to attend as many classes as possible in a week.
For those who would only like to attend at least one class a week, they also offer a Casual Package which starts at $135 for 5 classes which can be used within 5 weeks.
We love that their packages have longer expiry periods so you can have more flexibility with your schedule. Just be sure to attend your classes on time and cancel at least 10 hours early to avoid a $10 late cancellation charge.
