One of the best personal trainers in Brisbane who deserves to be highlighted in our article is Pat Dall from Activate Health & Fitness.
When he decided to be a personal trainer, we love how he also dabbled in the triathlon. In fact, he has represented the town in the Triathlon World Championships in Australia and New Zealand, just to name a few.
Because of his numerous fitness goals and activities, we’re not surprised that athletes are lining up to have Pat handle their fitness journey.
Moreover, the gym is strategically located near offices, making them a perfect choice for those who are working. In fact, Activate Health Fitness has convenient working hours, allowing clients to work before or after work shift.
However, it’s worth noting that a high volume of clients are expected after corporate hours. Nonetheless, Brisbane people are still looking forward to a good training session in this favoured gym.
Booking for an appointment is relatively easy, which we love. We appreciate that we can check for availability on their online portal, making it convenient for us to set our training sessions.
What’s great about this gym is that their equipment and machines are complete. They even have boxing equipment and cross trainers, perfect for those who are searching for holistic training.
We also enjoyed their complete facilities. We’ve heard that some clients would squeeze in a quick workout during their long lunch break, allowing them to take a shower – complete with hygienic products and tools.
Aside from personal training sessions, we like that they also offer therapies and nutritional support to their clients, making Activate Health & Fitness a complete and convenient one-stop shop amongst busy Brisbane people.

Pros
- Award-winning personal trainer
- Multiple fitness certifications
Cons
- Does not train clients who are aged below 30
- Gym is only open six days a week
For over 12 years, Peter Nguyen from Peter Nguyen Fitness has been helping male and female clients to build a new lifestyle through a transformative fitness approach,
What we like about Peter is that he doesn’t just help clients whenever they are in the gym. He focused his programs into improving overall health, which helps in improving the blood work and quality of sleep for his clients.
We like how he understands the different personalities and requirements of his clients. During our initial consultation, he was able to adapt to our manner of communications, allowing us to express what we need during that time.
Even better, initial consultations are offered free of charge. This allows his clients to check if Peter could be the right fit for their personalities and fitness goals.
However, it’s worth noting that he only trains males and females beyond 30 years of age. Though Peter can make adjustments to the younger ones, his forte can be utilised by those who are 30 and up.
On the other hand, we like that Peter keeps a personalised service for every client. He ensures he keeps an eye in every session, allowing his clients to really make progress after every training.
Moreover, his experience is backed up with proper certifications, namely Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness. He’s even Punchfit-certified and Rehab Trainer-certified!
Because of his in-depth knowledge and multiple qualifications, we’re not surprised that he’s been recognised by some recognised institutions. He’s even won some powerlifting competitions in Brisbane.
Though his facilities are smaller than the other commercialised gyms, we still like how the equipment and machines are enough to address the fitness needs of his clients. We just wish they could keep the gym open on Sundays, too.

Pros
- Offers free consultation
- Accepts bitcoin as mode of payment
Cons
- Not open on Sundays
- Limited operating hours on Saturdays
Led by Isaac Furlani, head coach and owner of Furlani Fitness, this centre has been providing weight management assistance in the city. He offers flexible training and nutrition programs to his clients, which earns him top marks from us.
On top of that he makes sure his clients create healthier habits. He even encourages them to avail meal programs as part of his services.
His expertise is backed up with two decades of in-depth research and coaching. He even shared with us the latest books he’s been reading, allowing us to think that he’s serious about studying all the latest coaching styles and fitness insights.
On the other hand, we like that his gym is easily accessible. With available parking spots around and nearby bus stations, clients will surely not have a hard time visiting the centre.
Furlani Fitness even offers more convenient payment terms. They are even a proud sponsor of the Australian Bitcoin Industry Body, which allows them to let their clients transact with crypto currency.
However, they are not open on Sundays and their Saturday gym hours are only limited to two hours in the morning. We think they should have longer hours on weekdays, and even allot more hours on a weekend to accommodate working clients.
All things considered, because of their level of professionalism and great client feedback, Furlani Fitness is worth a try.

Pros
- Can cater to older gym goers
- Personal trainers have CPR and first-aid certifications
Cons
- Not open on Sundays
- Expect high volume of clients
Even if they are just a small centre, we love how Recharged Personal Training keeps their fitness activities engaging and fun. With their exercise classes, clients are more encouraged to visit the gym, allowing them to also engage with the other gym goers.
It’s also quite notable how the gym is easily accessible. We love how convenient it is to search for parking spots on the street, no matter what time of the day it is.
One of their most requested personal trainers is Bryce Anson. Aside from his weight training programs, he can also focus on rehabilitation programs for injuries and physical disabilities.
In terms of certifications, we love that he’s complete with both certificates III and IV in fitness. We even heard that he has a first aid certificate, which gives us more confidence that we’ll be in safe hands.
Amongst the other personal trainers, Bryce has built a solid rapport to the older clients. He even prepares special and friendly programs for his clients ages 50 and up.
Another thing we love about Recharged Personal Training is that they also offer sessions where you could bring gym buddies. This allows clients to have more fun in the studio, while conveniently splitting the costs!
As a result, however, there’s a larger volume of clients that go to the gym. It would be best to call the gym for the best time slot to fully enjoy the space.

Pros
- No sign up fees & membership fees
- No long-term contracts
- Indoor and outdoor sessions are available
Cons
- Closed on weekends
- Some reviews of needing to improve client communication
Wendy from Blueprint Health & Fitness has 9 years experience as a personal trainer. She is known for addressing the weight loss and strength training of her clients.
What we love about her is that she wants to be deeply involved with every client’s journey. She even sees to it that all her programs are aligned with each individual’s goals.
During our initial coordination, she asked for past records and even past workout experiences as part of her initial assessment. She also asked if we suffered from previous injuries, which we think is a thoughtful touch.
Another thing we found unique is that they also offer outdoor sessions! This is perfect for gym goers who also want to have activities outside the four walls of the gym.
In fact, this has been one of the programs their loyal clientele would always look forward to. We think that it also helps encourage more clients to jumpstart their fitness goals, allowing them to exercise and interact with their co-gym goers in a different atmosphere.
What’s great about them is that they would never ask for membership or sign up fees. We love that we only have to pay for the specific training program we avail on a specific day as well.
On top of that, Blueprint Health & Fitness doesn’t even ask for long-term contracts, allowing clients to choose any program they want on a casual gym day.
It’s also quite commendable that they update their site with the list of available sessions. It even shows the duration, helping us choose which program will fit our schedule.
However, Blueprint Health & Fitness may not be the best choice for those who can only schedule working out on a weekend, since they are closed.
