The Slab Lads has provided us with truly organic furniture pieces. The slab dining table that we had customized showcased a beautifully crafted piece of marbled timber.

From the concept up to the design stage, we had a smooth and hassle-free transaction. Even when we were nitpicking some of the designs, they listened and took note. 

When finding the right wood for our table, they even showed us several examples to help us find the perfect slab. We loved the selection of recycled Australian woods, from Wide Camphor, Blackbutt, and Blue Gum. 

We specifically instructed the carpenter to retain as much of the live edge and irregular shape of the slab as possible for the table. They not only achieved this, but also made it into an unconventional, stunning wood table piece. 

They offer repair services, but we don’t think we will need them for years, seeing how sturdy the piece is. 

The price for our customized piece was justifiable by the quality of their work and the wood used.

The workmanship that goes into each furniture piece from Home Made Home is astounding. Buying a coffee table made to our specifications was a smooth and reliable experience with Igor’s team. 

Igor, the owner, was professional. His experience in handling clients is truly exceptional. He gave us some amazing advice and helped us find the perfect table design. 

All other clients I’ve known are equally pleased with how the team crafts their dream furniture to the exact size and style they want. 

The advanced 3D design software used by Home Made Home allows clients to visualize the design and make revisions while it is still in digital form. 

Another plus is the fast turnaround time. They even finished ahead of our agreed date. Is the quality affected? Definitely not, as the coffee table was superb and well-crafted. 

However, for custom orders, you have to expect a longer lead time. The hardwood option is limited primarily to Tasmanian oak. 

The price is fair for the amount of work and detail, especially for custom-made furniture.

We were looking to commission bedside tables and sideboards for our room. One of our friends, a former client of Stork Furniture, showed us a magnificent 1960s-style sideboard that we totally admired. 

Stork was up to the challenge. Greg, the owner, was responsive to our queries. He even took the time to guide us through the showroom, providing inspiration and discussing ideas for customizing the pieces. 

We just love the craftsmanship in how they use Australian timber. We decided it was the perfect slab for our sideboards and bedside tables. 

When it came to punctuality, Greg’s team delivered. They charge for their delivery service, but it saved us the time and hassle of transporting those heavy pieces. 

The attention to detail was spot on. The beautiful hardwood tells us it will last for decades. 

If your pieces ever get scratched, Greg and his team offer repair services.

While custom orders require a considerable amount of time for delivery, the store also has furniture in stock for those who prefer an instant option.

We’ve received numerous compliments from friends and family on the stunning bookcase in our living room. We have it custom-built by Ferrier Furniture, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. 

Ferrier’s team paid incredible attention to detail while crafting the bookcase. The finished product has seamless joinery, balanced proportions, and a flawless timber finish. 

They offer 3D modeling and prototyping, so you’ll be able to visualize the furniture before the construction phase starts. 

Ferrier also fabricates metals. In our case, we wanted to attach a metal handle bar, and they incorporated it perfectly. 

Despite having a challenging timeline and the busiest months of the year, they delivered exceptional results. They were professional and provided us with advice on finer details, including the type of wood to use and wood varnish. 

Just expect a higher price point compared to commercially produced furniture.
