A big part of that comes down to the experience of Master Tailor Mr. Cao, along with the team’s meticulous attention to detail and styling guidance. Together, they have created thousands of garments that boost wearers’ confidence. 

Everything—including jackets, shirts, and overcoats—is made using Italian fabrics such as Crilu wool and Vitale Barberis Canonico luxury wool. We also recognize that prices are clearly listed online, with the popular Black Label two-piece suit priced at $1,320.

Moreover, their timely communication and made-to-order options enable tight deadlines. One client even got his suit in just a week. However, this isn’t guaranteed, as on-site hours are limited to Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

One of the first things to know about The Cloakroom is that you can build your entire wardrobe with them. From suits and jackets to shirts, jeans, and shoes, all are crafted to the highest bespoke or made-to-measure quality. 

Clients share feeling their best in every piece, with grooms-to-be calling it the finest suit they have ever owned or their dream wedding suit come to life. Crafted exclusively from world-class fabrics like Dormeuil and Loro Piana, such praise is no surprise. 

People also appreciate the exceptional service, starting with a consultation to discuss ideas and then a thorough measurement process. After four to eight weeks, the first fitting allows for final adjustments—usually done in five days—before you take the garment home. 

The friendly, professional staff explained this during our visit to their modern Brisbane showroom. But while pricing is upfront, from $450 for shirts and $2,150 for suits, it can stretch budgets. Others noted that materials sometimes only last a year.

Silk-infused tuxedos, Egyptian cotton shirts, and pants with premium Bemberg linings are among the tailored pieces you can get at Germanicos. Created by a highly trained, passionate team, the work is beautiful and a perfect fit for clients.  

Some were first-time suit customers who couldn’t wait to return for another, knowing the journey would be the same. We are talking about careful measurements, fun, flexible fittings, unlimited adjustments, and safe delivery. 

The Platinum range (from $2,750) is their best-selling bespoke suit, made from 100% worsted fabrics. It’s available in wool, cashmere, or mohair, all sourced from the best mills in Italy, England, and France.

A couple of drawbacks, though, are reports of production times exceeding the promised six to eight weeks and a steep $1,500 deposit. The upside is Germanicos’ wardrobe deals, like the Sharp Starter: a suit, three shirts, a jacket, and trousers at 10% off.

Step one is construction and style, where they listen to your overall look and outline potential costs in detail. Step two—fabric and finishes—is a favorite for many customers because it brings the colors, buttons, and monogramming. 

Meanwhile, we found steps three (measurements) and four (maintenance) challenging, as miscommunication about length or dry-cleaning instructions has occurred. Fortunately, it all happily ends with step five: a chance to build your wardrobe.
