We lost our breath climbing up Mount Glorious Lookout Brisbane because the view is breathless!

It’s a Sunday morning, and I had one of those “why not?” moments. You know, the kind where you spontaneously decide to conquer nature because it looks pretty on Instagram and you just decide to see it yourself?

So, there I was, and I started to drive. The experience of driving up to Mount Glorious is a mix of scenic beauty and, let’s be honest, a few heart-stopping moments where the road decides to play hard to get.

And upon reaching the lookout, I realized why they call it “glorious.” It’s because I can see Brisbane sprawling out in front of me on a clear day, and it’s like the city decided to put on its best outfit (like a fine lady!)

What makes the Mount Glorious Lookout breathtaking?

Mount Glorious Lookout is an amazing spot because you can see Brisbane stretching out in all its glory, from the skyline to the snaking river. So, if you’re up for a mini-adventure that rewards you with a killer view, Mount Glorious is the place to be.

Where is Mount Glorious Lookout Brisbane?

Mount Glorious Lookout is nestled in the D’Aguilar Range, just a bit northwest of Brisbane. If you’re starting from the city, you’re looking at about a 45-minute drive, give or take, depending on traffic and how often you stop for photos.

To get there, you’ll head out on Mount Glorious Road, and trust me, the drive itself is part of the adventure. You’ll wind through some seriously beautiful scenery before you reach the top, but once you find it, you’ll see why it’s worth the trip.

How to Get to Mount Glorious Lookout Brisbane

To get to Mount Glorious Lookout from Brisbane, you’ll want to start by hopping in your car because public transport won’t quite cut it for this adventure. Head out of the city via Waterworks Road and keep following the signs for Mount Nebo Road.

Once you’re on Mount Nebo Road, just stay on course until you hit Mount Glorious Road. From there, it’s a smooth ride straight to the lookout.
