Everything You Need to Know about Cedar Creek Brisbane

Welcome to Cedar Creek Brisbane

Since I’m naturally drawn to waterfalls, I had to find Cedar Creek when I learned that it was near Brisbane. The trip northwest is scenic, with lots of trees and rock formations to encourage you to keep going.

It was a little challenging for me to locate the stream and waterhole areas (there are multiple spots where you can pull over and swim). So, I descended the rugged cliff face and discovered a pleasant waterhole with a swing rope, where I took a dip.

I felt like I was ten years younger when I left. And honestly, I wanted to return and check out the other areas of the creek but for now, here’s what I discovered!

Where is Cedar Creek Brisbane?

Cedar Creek is in the northwestern part of Brisbane, just a short drive from the city center. You’ll find it nestled around the areas of Cedar Creek Road and Samford Road, making it super accessible for a quick nature getaway.

Think of it as this tranquil spot that’s tucked away but still close enough to the conveniences of the city. It’s bordered by bushlands and rolling hills, giving you that perfect blend of suburban comfort and natural beauty.

How to Get to Cedar Creek Brisbane

Closest subway stop:  For public transit folks, you can catch a train to Ferny Grove Station, and then hop on the 397 bus, which will take you straight to Cedar Creek Road.

On the other hand, if you’re driving, just head northwest from the city center and take Samford Road. It’s a straight shot that’ll get you there in no time. You can also take Settlement Road for some beautiful views along the way.
