Brisbane Plumbing and Drainage was the first company I called to work on my sewer blockage.

The communication from the very beginning blew me away because they acted urgently. I told them about the problem, and asked how quickly I wanted the issue to be fixed. If that’s not confident, I don’t know what is.

The workers were quick to arrive and even kept texting me where they were and what time they’ll be at my doorstep. Even better was that they discussed quotes in-person.

Unlike most services that give out quotes over the phone, they explained everything to me in detail face-to-face, sometimes even bringing out tools to show me what they meant. I appreciated that.  

Moreover, they were not only quick to arrive, but they did the job fast and efficiently. Not to mention their clean workspace too!

The only downside? They’re not a budget option. Their services are honestly on the expensive side. Yes, they provided excellent service from start to finish, but it’s something to think about if you’re working on limited funds.

The company responded to our issue so quickly, doing investigative work to find a leak in our water supply (which ran 400m uphill through bushland), excavating, repairing and checking everything was working afterwards. Both Corey and Tony were great to deal with and went the extra mile to make sure we were looked after.

This is another of the companies that I actually hired during cyclone season. I didn’t want to spend as much as last time (yes, with the other company I mentioned earlier), so I looked for a new business and found them.

When I gave them a call, I was met with polite and patient staff off the bat. They were willing to answer any question I had, which was a great sign. I experienced a smooth booking too, which I obviously liked.

The workers arrived on-the-dot, and they were very friendly. I thought they provided a good working atmosphere throughout the entire job. 

I specifically had them work on the pipes under my yard. Once the damage was repaired, I got ready to clean the mess from the minor excavation. To my surprise, they did it for me and left it as if it was untouched! 

That’s rare enough among workers nowadays that it got them major points in my book. Additionally, they revised their quote downwards after the work because I needed a simpler repair than expected. More points.

The only downside that I can really think of is their website, because I almost gave up when trying to use it to find their contact number. Other than that, top experience all around.

So lovely to know we have a great plumber to call

By far the MOST professional quote and great service. Howzat was perfect through the booking stage for install of our hot water system and is coming back to help out with changing some tapware. Jo, on the scheduling team was so helpful and Mitch did an amazing install job and left everything looking great. Thanks team. Fantastic plumber

Fantastic plumber – we had this job completed a few months ago by Mick. We had a sewerage blockage cleared every year and when it became more regular we decided to ‘bite the bullet’ & finally find the blockage and get it repaired. Mick warned us it could cost up to $1500. When he completed the job he said it wasn’t as bad as he thought. Mick covered the lawn with a tarp & removed plants from the garden  to dig the trench. He replanted everything and you wouldn’t have known we had just had it dug up. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an account for $445.00 – truly honest plumber as he could have easily charged us a lot more.

Top Tier provides free quotes, which is one of the reasons I put them among my top choices while working up this list. Plumbing services are already expensive, so anything that can save money is an automatic plus!

I didn’t have any work for them, but fortunately, my neighbor did. Between the two of us, we set up a booking and gave them a go. 

The booking was seamless and they even told my neighbor what to do before they arrived. They arrived on time, announced a timeframe, and best of all, actually met it.

They also cleaned up afterwards so we didn’t have to. Just like that, everything was working again at my neighbor’s after a problematic experience.

The only issue? Their communication. We found them to be unresponsive at times. That can be an issue for a lot of homeowners.

This one was brought to my attention by colleagues who’d tried them. They recommended them as trustworthy and fast-to-reply, which sounded good.

When I messaged, they actually were quick to respond, so that turned out true. I also found out that when you ask for a quote, they ask you to send them pictures so you don’t have to pay them for an inspection. 

If you do call them out to your place, they perform an inspection before delivering a quote and explaining rates. Theirs are on the more affordable side, especially compared to some of the other options I used myself.

One thing I really liked about them is that after they do a job, they apparently explain what was done. People I talked to also said that they show you everything that’s working and will check in a few days later to ensure all repairs are holding up. 

The only thing I’d complain about with the company is their expensive call out fee, which is above industry standards. Their overall costing is cheap except for this one, though.

Excellent plumbing service provider

Mitchell Plumbing and Gas is an excellent plumbing service provider. Due to an urgent plumbing problem, I searched online for plumbing services and found that the reviews on this company are very good. I decided to use them. Their service turned out to be very good, very prompt, honest, professional and trust worthy. Their charge is very reasonable, particularly considering the quality of products and services. Tom did a good job in replacing the hot water system and provided me with some tips in looking after the unit. He also helped me fasten the kitchen sink screw. Very good service!

These guys probably have one of the best websites for sewer replacement companies here in Brisbane. Everything was so organized – the details were well-placed for easy navigation. 

However, what’s even more impressive is the number of services they offer. They’re definitely the one-stop shop for gas and plumbing! 

From the quoting, to the discussion of the issue, all the way to the actual work, the unique experience with this company was that they handled all paperwork. They took that responsibility to save me from the worries that already came with a blocked drain.

All I had to do was to watch and pay, and they didn’t even add extra charges unlike other services! They never gave me any hidden fees or fees that we didn’t talk about, which I appreciated. 

Everything was done on time and efficiently, but one thing was missing from them: I didn’t like that waste removal had to be paid for like a separate service. It was also only mentioned as the work was finished, so I wasn’t prepared for it.

Very responsive and reliable

AK Gas and Plumbing are very responsive and RELIABLE. The booking system and confirmation is very easy to use and quick. Our allocated  plumber Liam was awesome. He was very professional from the start. LIAM listened to our needs and gave solutions that were valuable. Even fixed some past plumber errors to ensure future was water tight. We have had Liam out twice to assist with renovations and maintenance of the existing. Works: external tap replacements, two kitchen and one laundry faucet upgrades, exchanging of two toilet systems, connection of fridge to water.

Very happy to have secured their local services

I booked the AK Gas & Plumbing team to install our new gas/electric oven system. I first enquired over a weekend via Facebook, and not only were the team on social media very responsive (within a few hrs), they had trades available within the next week and confirmed the next business day (many places weren’t available for at least a month) plus they were the most affordable.
