Pros

  • Specializes in personalized care
  • Offers a wide range of care services
  • Provides free care consultation without obligations

Cons

  • Quality of services might vary per location/per nurse
  • Hourly rate might be a bit steep

What’s great about Nurse Next Door is that they offer excellent personalized care services and you know that they’re dedicated to making life better for their patients.

It’s good to know that they have experienced registered nurses on their team as well as qualified and insured caregivers. Another thing that we appreciate from them is that they offer free home care consultation without the pressure to book them right away.

It also gives us peace of mind knowing that they’re available 24/7 when it comes to scheduling nursing services.

They offer a range of care services which include care management, home care, around the clock care, respite care, meal management, companionship care, and more.

In addition to their wide array of services, they also offer transport to clients which is a very convenient service. They can drive you to your medical appointments, to social events, or even accompany you to vacations within the country or abroad.

Their rates start from $80 per hour, which seems a bit steep, but take note that rates vary for NDIS patients. What’s more, they also offer several Home Care Packages that are government funded with flexible funding options.

While we didn’t find any faults in their services, just take note that they have several locations across Brisbane and nearby areas so the level of services might differ.

But so far, it’s great to hear from clients we interviewed that they are satisfied with Nurse Next Door and would definitely recommend them to others.

Pros

  • Aged care residences offer hotel-style services and lifestyle amenities
  • Has been in the aged care industry for over 40 years.
  • Offers financial support services for eligible individuals

Cons

  • Doesn’t offer in-home care services
  • Slots for patients might be limited in the residences

When it comes to nursing and care services, Superior Care is one of the best choices you can find in Brisbane. With their wide range of services specializing in exceptional aged care, the quality of care they provide truly fits their name.

Superior Care started in 1979 and positions itself as a trusted provider in the aged care industry. This shows their extensive experience in the field and established practices in senior care.

The specific services they offer include aged care services, dementia care, nursing services, palliative care, and respite care. This variety ensures they can cater to a diverse range of needs for elderly individuals.

It’s worth noting that they offer supported services which help patients who need financial assistance. We appreciate this service as this helps more patients gain access to quality care without having to worry about funding.

What we love the most are the lifestyle amenities available at their aged care residences. They have a facility in Wellington Park in Brisbane and Merrimac Park in the Gold Coast.

Both facilities are equipped with modern hotel-style amenities which we think would greatly improve the quality of life of residents. What’s more, their Wellington Park residence has an animal farm for patients and family members to enjoy.

It’s also great that residents have access to nutritious, chef-prepared meals, as well as a variety of lifestyle, social activities, and even beauty services.

The only downside is, they don’t seem to offer in-home care services as all services offered are only available within their residences. Another thing is, they only have two facilities, so rooms or beds might be limited.

Pros

  • Founded by a registered nurse
  • Specializes in personalized in-home care
  • Easy booking process

Cons

  • Office hours are on weekdays only
  • Fees vary depending on the worker/facility

What makes Preferred Care one of the best options for nursing services in Brisbane is their foundation. The company was established by a registered nurse, Candice Thompson, who focuses on the well-being of nurses.

With that in mind, you know that apart from providing quality care to patients, they also prioritize the welfare of nurses. This results in professionals that are happy and dedicated to delivering only the best services to patients.

It’s important to note that Preferred Care is a nursing agency where nurses can find jobs and healthcare facilities can recruit nurses. At the same time, those in need of clinical or in-home care can book a nurse that’ll suit their needs and schedule.

We appreciate that the booking process is quite simple and hassle-free as you or your loved one can easily book online.

Just take note that their office hours are from Mondays to Fridays only. But you can definitely book online anytime.

When it comes to their in-home services, they offer a comprehensive range of clinical care services. They can address everything from basic health and well-being assistance to specialized care and illness management.

It’s great that they also provide assistance with daily tasks, outings, and maintaining your home and personal well-being.

Although, another thing to take note is that nursing service fees will vary depending on the worker and the facilities to be used.
