Pros

  • Post-surgery care
  • Quick recovery period

Cons

  • Long waiting time
  • Few payment options

We love that VSON’s end goal is not only a successful surgery but also the perfect customer care. The doctors and the staff at the clinic are very helpful and very encouraging so the patients really feel the support from pre to post surgery.

The funny thing though—when we asked past patients what they loved about VSON other than the Lasik services, their answers were unexpected—free coffee and chocolates! They said it might sound superficial, but it made them feel at ease.

We all know that Lasik eye surgery’s a very delicate process because it deals with our sense of sight, so most patients feel really nervous even during consultations. These little comforts provide a sense of calmness, instantly reducing their anxiety.

We also want to praise the really supportive staff! We love how they establish small talks with the patients while they’re in the waiting room, giving them all the information they know and also some encouragement here and there.

Speaking of the waiting room, we’re a little bummed about the waiting time—even if you have an appointment, there’s a chance that you’ll still wait before you’re called. However, this can be a good thing because it means the consultation is very thorough.

Another thing we wish VSON can consider is to add more payment options. Those patients that we’ve talked to told us that the clinic has very few low-interest payment options which is kind of hard on the pocket.

Other than those little disadvantages though, we think VSON’s one of the best Lasik surgery clinics in Brisbane. Patient care and good customer service can go a long way!

Pros

  • State-of-the-art equipment
  • Transparent in terms of procedure and payment

Cons

  • Hard to book a schedule
  • Fails to reply to emails promptly

One proof that makes Dr. David Gunn one of the best Lasik surgeons in the world–clients travel from Gold Coast to Brisbane just to consult with him! His reputation’s so good money and gas are the least of his patients’ worries.

And we truly understand what these patients feel. It’s their eyes on the line, and they need to have the best eye surgeon whom they can entrust their sight with.

One thing that makes us feel at ease about Dr. David Gunn is that his clinic uses only the latest and topnotch equipment. In terms of eye operation technology, the more modern the better, because they’re unbelievably quick and precise.

We also love that everything’s upfront! Dr. David provides a thorough explanation of the process, and also lets you know how much it’ll cost down to the very last cent.

This type of transparency is what his past patients loved about the clinic. They told us that they appreciated how honest the clinic had been so they had an idea what would happen and how much budget they needed to prepare.

We’re just a little concerned about the booking process, which is a bit inconvenient. It’s really quite difficult to book a schedule because the line’s always busy and the response time is slow.

However, these are minor things that can still be improved. In terms of success rates and services, Dr. David Gunn’s should be on your list of go-to Lasik surgeons!

Pros

  • Upfront costing
  • Quick but thorough surgery

Cons

  • Doesn’t give referrals even if their doctors can’t perform the surgery
  • Long waiting time during calls

Its past clients told us that when it came to professionalism, Queensland Laser Vision was at the top of the game. Organised booking schedules and processes just made things seamless for them, hence they only ever needed to worry about the surgery.

Speaking of surgery, Queensland Laser has a high success rate, which is another reason why a lot of people have given their trust to the clinic. The doctors prepare their patients mentally and emotionally for the procedure, which they appreciate a lot.

The Lasik surgery’s done quickly and meticulously. Most patients didn’t experience any side effects, and the recovery period was really quick!

We love how the pricing’s very upfront too—no hidden charges! Plus, their rates are very reasonable even though they use the latest Lasik equipment.

We also love how all the staff are openly supportive of the patients. Not only do they give encouraging words, they’re also very friendly and very helpful, answering questions here and there patiently.

One thing we didn’t appreciate was making an inquiry through calls. While we understand that the clinic has a lot of patients and that the staff might need to consult first before giving answers, making clients wait for a long time isn’t a good thing.

There are also cases wherein Queensland Laser can’t perform an eye surgery because it’s not in their specialisations, which is valid. However, we’re just disappointed that the clinic can’t give referrals to patients even though it’s not their fault.

Pros

  • Friendly and attentive staff
  • Doctors provide thorough explanation (procedures, benefits, & risks)

Cons

  • No replies on inquiries
  • Expensive assessment fee

In Lasersight Brisbane, the Lasik surgery is often easier because of the supportive atmosphere. The moment a patient walks in, he or she’s welcomed with smiling faces and a cup of coffee—things that instantly make them comfortable!

We really appreciate how the staff are extremely attentive. During the waiting time, they talk to the patients and try to answer some of the questions they have; so when it’s their time to consult with the doctor, they’re already equipped with a few information.

According to some patients we’ve talked to, this pre-talks with the staff made things easier for them during their consultation! They were able to ask questions, and that’s very important because at least the doctor can address all worries before surgery.

Not that they don’t, because the doctors at Lasersight are very thorough when it comes to explaining the procedures, benefits, and risks of Lasik surgery. They want the patients to know exactly what’s going to happen so they’ll be prepared.

The post-surgery care is also amazing! We love that the doctor who performed the Lasik surgery regularly checks up on the patient a few weeks after just to make sure there are no complications.

We’re just a little turned off by the consultation fee, which is quite expensive. Also, Lasersight might probably need to improve its customer communication because no customer appreciates late replies.

Pros

  • Pre-surgery extensive tests
  • Doctor has a knack at making patients feel at ease during procedures

Cons

  • Receptionist provides wrong information
  • Mixes up booking schedules

According to some of his previous Lasik surgery patients, one of the things they appreciated about Dr. Lee Lenton—his knack at making patients feel at ease during procedures. The doctor knew the right things to say, instantly alleviating your fear!

Dr. Lee Lenton’s known for his consultation procedure–he’s very thorough and performs several tests to make sure that Lasik surgery is what the patient really needs. These tests also allow him to see what alternative surgery can be done if not Lasik.

This is the reason why the clinic has successful eye operations. Dr. Lee knows what he’s doing, and makes sure he’s doing it well for the sake of his patients’ eye health.

We also appreciate how the staff at his clinic help in making patients feel less nervous. They are knowledgeable about the procedures, so anyone you ask can answer your questions while you wait for your turn for consultations.

We need to warn you though that the receptionists aren’t the best people to ask information about the procedure as they tend to say the wrong information. It’s better to reserve all questions for Dr. Lee.

Also, there’s a tendency to mix up the bookings. We recommend calling the clinic to make sure you’re booked on the right day before going to the clinic to avoid wasting time.
