Brisbane Bath Resurfacing was one of the companies we contacted to test this kind of service. They offer a lot of services aside from tub refinishing, like shower and vanity refinishing.

From the beginning, they were already a delight to talk to. We got fast replies and clear quotes, just the way we wanted as curious customers. Additionally, they were respectful with how they answered our many questions.

Within a few days, they showed up and did the job quickly. The guy who worked with us was the owner himself (George). We found him very passionate with what he does. We even discovered through our conversation that he’s been doing this since the 80s!

We did see a few errors after he left such as a few unfixed areas on the surface of the tub, which was honestly disappointing. But we contacted the business again about it, and they quickly fixed the issue without charging a dollar!

The experience was honestly impressive, but we really hope for more consistency because efficiency is all that matters with jobs like this.

We booked Mark’s In Your Bath because of a recommendation from one of my colleagues. They said the company also does commercial bathroom resurfacing, so we thought they might be one of the best in the business because of reliability alone.

They do free quotes (always good), respond fast, and aren’t shy about recommending different methods to save customers added costs. In my friend’s case, instead of the usual full respray, they advised a cut and polish instead, which cost less. 

Since that made them less money, that was a big green flag. They also walked us through the entire process and finished the work in just a couple of hours.

The cherry on top is their affordable pricing despite the quality of the work and experience. The disappointing part? They’re difficult to book, but it’s probably because they’re in-demand. We definitely recommend booking earlier for new customers!

For the next job, we needed hairline cracks repaired instead of mere refinishing because my aunt’s tub was a bit old. Inner Bath Brisbane was the company that we found through the web and contacted to do the work.

From the quoting process, they already showcased their excellent customer service.My aunt always asks lots of questions for reassurance, and they were very patient with her. 

And I love you, aunt, but anyone who’s patient with you once you get started is definitely a guaranteed professional.

They scheduled a workday, and the workers arrived earlier than expected. They were also very friendly while doing their work.

But what really set them apart from the other businesses was that they’re really tidy with their workspace. They constantly cleaned up whenever they made a mess. They even left the place as if they never worked there! It smelled and looked good.

It’s impressive that they gave my aunt that kind of service for a reasonable price too. The hairline cracks were gone, and the tub was whiter than ever. 

Some of the people we talked to did say the company had a few hiccups with repairs for them, though, so keep that in mind. In our case, we didn’t have complaints.

I could not be happier

Inner Bath saved my sanity after having a horrible experience resurfacing an old bath. The bath mold has made the bathroom look brand new and the quality is fantastic. It’s a very comfortable shape. We found Dudley & Sons after a few searches. We chose them because we were intrigued that they also work on kitchens, not just bathrooms. Plus, we read on their website that they’re a family-owned company.

We called them, and they were already very friendly from the start. They use respraying as their primary method for resurfacing bathtubs, though. That can take a while.

It took Dudley & Sons a couple of days, as a result, but we really appreciated how they cleaned up after each part of the process. They were respectful and careful with my friend’s property too.

After the entire thing was done, we were surprised to see the results. The bathtub was so white that you would’ve thought it just manufactured.

The workers showed us a few before & afters and some testimonies from their previous clients too. They all stated that the results last for years, so the slightly longer working time was worth it. Rates were quite good too.

My friend did notice a few spots of rusted steel after their work, though, but it could have been from something else, so there’s that.

Cannot praise the quality of workmanship enough

A couple of years ago we had our tiles in the bathroom and toilet sprayed white, including the bathtub and shower floor and to this day I cannot praise the quality of the workmanship enough.  The transformation of both rooms was amazing.  Except for a small rust mark on the drain grill on the shower floor the quality of the work still remains faultless.  I recommend their work to anyone wanting to upgrade their bathrooms, toilets or kitchens, it has a good finish and is much cheaper than replacing everything.

Got a ‘new’ bathroom at a fraction of a cost

Absolutely amazed at the transformation in our old bathroom with the expertise of Dudley and Sons Resurfacing! We went from beige and off white tiles, a scratched bathtub and a horrible shower base to a shiny new all white and super glossy bathroom. The finish is amazing and we can’t quite believe how good it all looks without having had to replace everything. We’ve got a ‘new’ bathroom at a fraction of the cost of replacing everything with brand new fittings. When it was my turn to have a bathtub resurfacing service, I chose ThermoGlaze for my test. Over the phone, they gave me an extensive quote that detailed everything in a way I liked. 

Interestingly, I also saw on their website that the products they use match any tub color. That’s important because not all tubs are white. That kind of attention to detail is another thing that sets them apart.

I also appreciated that the workers were on-the-dot when they arrived. They also explained the process really well to me so I can ensure that errors won’t happen.

Additionally, they kept mentioning safety since they were handling chemicals and wet surfaces. I really liked that gesture because it showed me that they also care about their customers.

When they were done and my tub was shining like it was brand new, I received multiple messages in the following weeks. It was somewhat of a follow-up service to know if there were any problems. 

Overall, I was very pleased with their work. However, I have to mention that they missed a few small spots on my bathtub. 

I told them that and they came back to fix it for free. Still, I hope that for their next jobs, customers like me don’t have to contact them anymore for matters like this.

Great value for money

We had ThermoGlaze resurface our bathtub where the old resurfacing was severely chipped and the whole thing looked terrible. Very pleased with the end result, it looked like a brand new tub and great value for money. More importantly the follow up service was impeccable! We’re definitely very impressed and highly recommend these guys!
