I had been searching for a Pilates teacher training course in Brisbane that goes beyond the basics, and enrolling with Inna Essence was exactly what I needed.
Their program is nationally accredited through PAA and ASQA. It’s delivered by a registered RTO, which really reassured me that the qualifications—covering everything from Matwork modules to a full diploma in Clinical Pilates—would be recognized throughout the industry.
From the moment I stepped into the studio, I felt welcomed. The teaching style seamlessly combined contemporary and clinical Pilates with practical application.
We didn’t just go through the motions, but we also delved into anatomy and safe progressions in real class settings.
What really impressed me was their focus on holistic teaching, incorporating yoga and barre cross-training modules.
Unfortunately, by the time I tried to switch dates, the in-person weekend intensive was already full. It made rescheduling trickier than I expected.
Nonetheless, the online theory modules were a lifesaver. The reformer studios were well-equipped, and the educators made the whole experience feel truly rewarding.
A welcoming atmosphere, and everyone makes you feel comfortable
“I was a bit hesitant about doing reformer classes, but the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the studio made me say yes when I did my studio tour. I love the community here, and everyone makes me feel comfortable. I’m hoping to achieve my goal soon so that I can bring my partner to pilates classes too.”

Space is beautifully designed and calm
“Joining Inna Essence to study Reformer Pilates has been one of the most transformative and enriching experiences in my wellness journey. From the moment I stepped into the studio, I was struck by the serene, welcoming atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed—open, light-filled, and calm—which instantly sets the tone for focused, mindful practice.”

A close friend of mine recently enrolled in the Studio Pilates International Training Academy in Brisbane. Hearing about her experience really opened my eyes to why it’s such a popular choice for those looking to become instructors.
What really stood out to her was the flexibility of their nationally accredited course. It includes everything from Matwork and Reformer certifications to more in-depth Diploma pathways. These are all taught with a modern, evidence-based approach.
She shared how the training blended online theory modules with hands-on in-person intensives. It gave her the freedom to learn while also diving deep into practical skills.
I’ve also heard that the studios were fully stocked with reformers, towers, and small apparatus.
Like Inna Essence, I appreciate the lifetime access to their digital learning platform.
The only downside mentioned by others is the intensity of the short-course format. Those fast-paced weekends can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming.
Enjoyed learning and re-igniting information
“I’ve just finished my Matwork Progressions Course with Sammy! Amazing, I really enjoyed learning and re-igniting information! Sammy is a brilliant trainer, and I look forward to studying reformer sometime next year with Studio Pilates! The best place in the business.”

Trainers were welcoming and easy to speak to
“Cannot recommend Studio Pilates Training courses enough! Very well structured, thorough and precise. The trainers, both in person and for the online sessions, were welcoming, friendly, easy to speak to and provided great feedback throughout the entire course. Definitely recommend it!”

After spending years in Pilates classes, I finally decided to start teacher training and chose the Boutique Pilates Method in Brisbane.
What really caught my attention was their nationally accredited courses, as recognized by ASQA. Also, the curriculum felt fresh and modern, combining classical principles with a contemporary teaching style that emphasized real-world applications.
I’ve also heard that they incorporate specialty modules, such as pre- and postnatal training and injury management strategies.
Right from the first week, I dove into anatomy and hands-on teaching with top-notch Reformers and small equipment.
I particularly appreciated the small group workshops. The mentoring felt personal and constructive. They even included business development modules.
One challenge I faced, though, was the intensive weekend blocks that demanded a significant time commitment.
Still, the ongoing mentoring and the opportunity to practice in their beautifully equipped boutique studio gave me a level of skills I never thought I’d achieve.
Smaller class sizes mean your form is corrected every step of the way
“Ash has created the most beautiful and inclusive haven for bodies and souls of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Her smaller class sizes mean your form is corrected every step of the way, with motivation to boot. Read: she will make you donkey kick and it will BURN! But you will love it! I cannot recommend BPM enough for your boutique pilates needs here in Brisbane. There simply isn’t anywhere else quite like it. Get in on the magic ASAP!”

Beautiful space and equipment make this, honestly, a must for anyone
“Cannot recommend this studio more. I’ve attended many boutique gyms in major cities all over the world and can easily say this is the best community I have ever been a part of. The instructors, the style and variety of classes, the attention to the individual needs of attendees and the beautiful space and equipment make this honestly a must for anyone living or visiting Brisbane.”

A family member of mine recently completed the Instructor Training Course at Premium Pilates & Fitness in Brisbane.
The course is accredited by AUSactive CEC and takes place at PPF’s Coorparoo studio. It covers both Matwork and Reformer disciplines.
It’s nice that the program includes over 100 Matwork exercises. Plus, it’s complete with injury modifications, practice with props and cueing, and specialized sessions for pre- and postnatal clients.
The anatomy and biomechanics modules are also incredibly thorough. I feel that learning how to assess movement and posture for safer, more effective teaching would be beneficial.
Some unique features of the course included video feedback on their teaching practice, access to PPF’s fully equipped studio outside of class hours, and workshops on how to market themselves as Pilates instructors.
One downside, though, is that the weekend intensives tend to fill up quickly.
Friendly staff, great classes, and extremely cost-effective
“By far the best Pilates studio on the south side of Brisbane. Friendly staff, great classes, mums and bubs options and extremely cost-effective. If you have heard the rage about Pilates and always wanted to try it, this is definitely the place to go. Download their app, join and book a class, you absolutely won’t regret it!”

Allows you to feel the burn without the heavy impact
“What a lovely couple! Chris and Emily were so accommodating, and my first time attending Barre classes didn’t draw any attention to my extreme lack of dance skill! Barre is a great workout that, for a regular gym goer, still allows you to feel the burn without the heavy impact. I’m sorry to see them go from Stones Corner, but I wish them all the very best in their new location.”

I tried to sign up for the Pilates Teacher Training at Strong Pilates West End, and let me tell you, it completely changed my perspective on instructor education.
Their program offers a comprehensive Certificate IV pathway with advanced modules, providing future instructors with a solid foundation and hands-on experience.
From the very first session, I loved the modern teaching style that incorporates clinical principles. It was extremely easy to tailor exercises to meet the needs of various clients.
Aside from that, the course covered in-depth anatomy and biomechanics, hands-on cueing, and training for pre- and postnatal clients.
One of the highlights was the personalized mentoring session and video assessment. They really helped me polish my technique and teaching presence.
Plus, they offer extended studio access outside of class hours.
However, some mention that the cancellation policy can be a hassle. If you cancel less than 9 hours before, there may be fees or penalties.
Amazing class, instructors, and the community
“My first STRONG session was back in March 2023, and I never looked back. I absolutely love everything! The amazing class, instructors and the community. I love the small touches, from the free hairbands and the eucalyptus towel you get once you finish. Every session always kicks my butt and gets me sweating, but it’s so addicting. Planning to finish off with both weekend classes for the STRONG weekend and can’t wait for it!”

I look forward to coming every week and always leave feeling stronger. The monthly competitions and games are such a fun and motivating touch, too. I’m hooked and plan to keep coming for a long, long time!”
