Pros

  • Outlines what’s included in their fees
  • Publishes a newsletter
  • Instant quote generator for buying and selling
  • Free “online case tracking system”

Cons

  • Services limited to residential property
  • Searches not outlined on their website

Buying and selling property can be extremely confusing and worrisome, especially with all the legal jargon and consequences involved. KRG Conveyancing, however, gives you all the tools and services you need to make you feel secure and in control.

Not only are they members of the Queensland Law Society, but they’re also members of Property Exchange Australia (PEXA). This platform allows settlements to take place online, making their services efficient and safe.

They also have professional indemnity insurance. This gives you peace of mind that when you avail of their services, you’re covered every step of the way.

If all this wasn’t assurance enough, they also offer a 100% no-move no-fee policy along with their fixed fees. This ensures that you get your money’s worth, down to the last penny.

What we like about KRG Conveyancing is that they go above and beyond in making their clients feel like they’re part of the conveyancing process. They have a tracking system online that clients can use for free to monitor their transactions.

We also like that they have checklist guides for buying and selling. This lets their clients know what KRG Conveyancing will do at every stage and helps set expectations for both parties.

Moreover, they have a webpage dedicated to explaining conveyancing jargon and a blog with articles related to conveyancing. These extra resources allow their clients to be more “in the know” of the whole conveyancing process.

Though we like that KRG Conveyancing services the entirety of Queensland, we’re a little disappointed that they seem to be limited to residential property conveyancing only.

Furthermore, we would like to see a breakdown of the basic searches involved in their services so we get to know what exactly we’re paying for as well as be able to budget for some extra searches.

Pros

  • Offers a PEXA electronic settlement special condition
  • Service area includes New South Wales
  • No settlement; no bill pricing policy
  • Insured by Lexon Insurance
  • Stamp duty calculator

Cons

  • Not all are lawyers
  • Not much info or tools about commercial conveyancing

Conveyancing is already a pretty daunting thing to do; what more when the professionals you hoped would help you are cold and unapproachable? This is where Monkey Conveyancing comes in.

With their fun and friendly name, Monkey Conveyancing hopes to make themselves more approachable to their clients, making the whole conveyancing process easier and less stressful.

Don’t be fooled by their somewhat less serious name—they’re certified pros in what they do. Not only are they members of the Queensland Law Society but also of Law Institute Victoria and The Law Society of New South Wales.

As indicated by their membership in the last mentioned organization, their services are also available in New South Wales. However, they only offer residential conveyancing in the area.

They’re also the second group of conveyancers on our list that are members of PEXA. Furthermore, they’re insured by Lexon Insurance whose protocols ensure that you get high-quality conveyancing service.

We like that Monkey Conveyancing offers fixed fees for their services and has a “no settlement; no bill” policy. This means that you’ll only have to pay once your transaction is settled.

We also highly appreciate that they have a webpage dedicated to links to different sites useful for conveyancing. Such links lead to mortgage brokers, offices for stamp duties, and news about real estate, among others.

We noticed, however, that not all of their members may have a background in law, which might make some of their clients worry about the legal service they provide. But they do have 25 years of conveyancing experience, which speaks for their expertise.

Furthermore, though we understand that they want to show themselves as approachable and friendly, the playful design of their website is a bit off-putting. It gives the impression that they’re not professional or reliable.

Pros

  • Outlines conditions worth including in an REIQ contract
  • Offers an in-depth guide for the process of buying a house
  • Uses and provides free LawConnect for their clients
  • Quote calculators for buying and selling

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Limited to buying and selling residential property

Aptly named because they “love helping clients move on the ‘map’,” Map Lawyers provides conveyancing services for both buying and selling property throughout numerous places in Brisbane and the entirety of Queensland.

Like the previous entries, they’re also members of the Queensland Law Society and PEXA, assuring their clients that their services are certified and efficient.

What makes them stand out from the other conveyancing services on our list—and what we like about them—is that they use LawConnect. This is a cloud management system where documents can be safely stored and accessed wherever, whenever.

Aside from giving their clients security and ease of access to their important documents, we also like that they outline some conditions their clients should think about in an REIQ contract.

Though they did try to organize and make the conditions easy enough to understand, we think that they may still be hard to digest for the layperson.

We also find it unfortunate that their services are only limited to buying and selling residential property.

Moreover, we find them a touch pricey. Considering their great client service, however, we think that their price is more than justifiable.

Pros

  • Offers a wide range of conveyancing services
  • Can go to you for guarantee advice
  • Two offices in Brisbane

Cons

  • Fees and searches not outlined on their website
  • Blog only has two articles

From residential to commercial property, to will and estate, to advice, and everything else in between, Empire Legal offers a wide range of conveyancing services. Not only that, but they also have a wide reach as they service the entirety of Queensland.

Just like the other entries on this list, they provide fixed fees, which according to their previous clients, are very competitive considering the quality of service they provide.

More than their pricing, however, their clients rave over their responsiveness, friendliness, efficiency, and expertise in conveyancing, proving that they have one of the most exceptional client services in their industry.

What we like about Empire Legal is that they clearly outline the services on their website. Because of this, their clients who may have a more complicated conveyancing matter will immediately know that they can help them with their transactions.

We also like that they have a blog where they put out articles on conveyancing so their clients will know a lot more about the process. However, we did notice that it currently only has two articles.

We also wish that their website would contain a lot more information about their fees and the searches included. Knowing these will help us understand what we’re paying for and get an estimate of how much we’ll pay.

Pros

  • No obligation, free expert advice via call for 10 minutes
  • Competitive fees
  • Stamp duty calculator for buyers of real estate in Queensland
  • Multilingual team
  • Available 24/7

Cons

  • Free expert advice is limited to 8 callers per week
  • Not very responsive

If you’re looking for affordable yet high-quality conveyancing services, you might want to check out Spot On Conveyancing.

Their fees for buying and selling residential property are one of the lowest we’ve seen, amounting to only $950 and $490, respectively. That price already includes GST, basic searches, and professional fees.

If their prices weren’t competitive enough, they even offer to charge you 10% lower than the cheapest fees you’d find that included the same searches as their conveyancing services.

Aside from their shockingly competitive prices, they’re also highly available – their solicitors can be contacted anytime, any day of the week. This makes them extremely flexible, allowing their clients to ask for their assistance whenever they might need it.

We like that they have a multi-lingual team that can converse not only in English, but also in Chinese, Vietnamese, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian. This will surely help their clients who are natives of these countries feel more at ease and at home.

We also like that they offer 10 minutes of no-obligation, free expert advice on conveyancing via phone call. We do lament, though, that they only offer this free service to only eight callers every week.

We also noted that some of their previous clients complained about their responsiveness (or lack of it), which would be pretty stressful, especially for first-time home buyers.

We also don’t like that one client transaction seems to be handled by multiple people, which can lead to lots of confusion and inefficiency.
