- Specialises in modern architecture
Cons
- Doesn’t offer services on weekends
- Some instances of slow revert to messages or calls
For over 30 years, Arkhefield has been delivering impressive small to complex architectural designs to residents of Brisbane.
The firm is well known for creating designs that promote productivity, functionality and connectivity. We also like that they focused on people’s lifestyles so they can incorporate that while dissecting a project brief.
One of the most requested architects in this firm is Arch. Graham Nottle. What we like about him is that he helps clients flesh out their vision beyond what is written on their briefing document.
We’re impressed to see that Graham would always put himself in the shoes of his clients, making sure that what his team would come up with would suit their customer’s lifestyle.
Another highlight about Graham is that he remains hands on for the entire duration of the project. Even after briefing his team, he makes sure to take the lead, providing personal updates to his clients.
On top of that, it’s quite notable that he’s into improving the transportation and infrastructure realm in the city. This tells us how it’s important for him to promote improved living in our society.
However, it’s worth mentioning that the office is only open on weekdays. We’ve also experienced some slow revert on our messages.
Nonetheless, we still think that they are worth the shot. We just need to provide a little understanding and patience on the firm’s busier days.

We also love how they changed the local scene by incorporating their take on innovative design. We’re even pleased with how they created efficient workspaces, which helps encourage productivity and creativity among individuals.
One of the youngest yet highly requested architects in Base Architecture is Arch. Christina Solomon. What we like about her is that her architectural expertise is inspired by her travels and world explorations.
We think that it definitely helps her combine the various cultures and traditions to the modern architectural scene, bringing a different taste to her clients.
Another notable thing about the firm is that their quality design and work are backed up with awards and recognitions from the industry.
In fact, they have won the 2017 Brisbane Architecture Awards for Interior Architecture Commendation and the 2017 QLD Architecture Awards for Residential Architecture Commendation, just to name a few.

Aside from these awards, we love that the firm never stopped collecting recognitions, which signals quality workmanship. We’re even impressed to see how some projects have gained them at least three awards!
Another thing we love about this firm is that they work as a team, most especially when they encounter more complex sites. We’re pleased to see how they meticulously find better alternatives to maximise their overall planning.
