Best First Aid & CPR Training Providers in Brisbane for Real-World Readiness

  • Center Credentials and Reputation: We focused on centers offering nationally recognized courses that comply with Australian standards. We also considered those recommendations from medical bodies in the city/country.
  • Certified Trainers: It was important for us to select centers with trainers who hold relevant qualifications and experience to ensure effective training, especially for practical assessments.
  • Flexible Class Schedules: We also looked into how flexible each center is in scheduling its sessions to accommodate various workers and trainees who may not be able to work during the usual 9–5 operating hours.
  • Trainee Experience: Centers with consistent, positive student feedback also played a big role in our selection, helping ensure ease of learning and the acquisition of practical skills by the end of the course.
  • Pricing: Clear and upfront pricing with no hidden fees was prioritized in the selection to help students budget more efficiently.

I still remember it as clear as a day when it happened—I was at the gym, and suddenly, the lady next to me just collapsed. I froze in shock, not knowing what to do.

Thankfully, someone stepped in and started compressions while another called for help. The way they calmly handled everything was truly impressive.

As I look back, I wish I could’ve done something. What if it happens again, and this time, nobody else is around? That lingering thought pushed me to learn basic emergency care skills and to enroll in a first aid and CPR course in Brisbane.

As a busy professional, I’m glad I found these providers in the city that offer flexible, effective programs.

My First Aid Course has been operating for over 30 years and trained over 55,000 customers around the city. It’s a partner of Allens Training Pty Ltd, meaning the courses here are nationally recognized and meet Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) standards.

Of course, trainers you will meet here are certified and have respective backgrounds in related fields. Trainees often praised them for being fun and welcoming, helping the classes feel less intimidating.

What we found as their major selling point is the accessibility and flexibility. First off, you can find them in 8 locations across Brisbane.

On top of that, their blended learning allows you to complete the online modules at your own pace, followed by a hands-on, on-site assessment. This means shorter classroom time, but still ensures you get the necessary practical skills.

By pricing, stand-alone CPR and first aid courses range from $49 to $98. You can also bundle them to save costs. Just make sure you are ready to commit. Apparently, they don’t issue refunds if you decide to cancel your enrollment.

Afterwards, provided that you have completed both the online pre-work and practical classes, you can expect the certificate to be delivered within 24 hours.

Pros

  • 30 years of experience
  • Certified trainers with relevant experience in the field
  • Accessible locations
  • Accredited training
  • Flexible learning
  • Competitive rates
  • Fast certification

Cons

  • No refunds

The training was very hands-on

“Andrea was an excellent first aid trainer. She genuinely cares for everyone in the class and even remembers everyone’s name. The training was very hands-on, and she is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to share her experience.”

I enjoyed it

“The session was very enlightening and straight to the point. I enjoyed it and learned something new about partner changeover during CPR and debriefing at the end of the session. Thank you.”

Manual Handling Courses operates as a special division under My First Aid Course, focusing specifically on Conduct Manual Tasks Safety.

The program is led by Andrea Merrick. She has over 25 years of experience in aged care, disability support, and community services. All of which require manual labor, and one wrong move can cost one’s health and career.

While this does not directly cover first aid and CPR training, it still provides important safety guidance. It helps high-risk workers, such as warehouse and construction staff, lift, move, and perform physical tasks safely.

Basically, you will learn all about correct techniques and posture to reduce the risk of injury. This is especially helpful if your field of work involves a lot of heavy lifting.

For just $125, you can learn the essentials online, followed by a 2-hour on-site session for the practical assessment. This flexible model is already convenient, but that’s not all—you can also request that the training be held at your workplace.

Upon completion, we appreciate that trainees will receive their nationally recognized certificate the same day.

Pros

  • Leadership with over 25 years of experience
  • Focus on injury prevention
  • Blended learning
  • Same-day certification
  • Standard price

Cons

  • Limited scope

CPR First Aid has over 20 years of experience, and in 2026, the center was awarded the “Best First Aid Training Provider” title.

Trainees also mentioned that while the pace is a little faster than others, the certified trainers are highly competent and won’t miss any important steps.

What really stood out for us was the flexibility in schedule. By taking into account the work culture of frontliners (such as nurses and childcare workers), they offer a wide variety of timeslots for practical lessons up until 10 PM.

There’s also the option for blended learning, where you will tackle the theoretical parts online before the face-to-face assessment. Once you pass, you will get your certificate the same day.

Price-wise, they are actually among the most affordable in the city. CPR courses are priced as low as $45, while first aid ranges from $80 to $99. There’s even a price guarantee: they’ll beat any other provider’s offer by 10%.

It’s just a letdown to hear about communication issues, unreturned calls, and online modules that weren’t sent on time.

Pros

  • 20 years of experience
  • Award-winning training center
  • Certified trainers
  • Flexibility with class schedules
  • Blended learning
  • Affordable courses
  • Best price guarantee
  • Same-day certification

Cons

  • Communication gaps

Everything was well-organized

“Excellent First Aid & CPR Course! The trainer was knowledgeable and made the session engaging with clear, real-life examples. The practical part was easy to follow and gave me confidence to respond in an emergency. Everything was well-organized, professional, and affordable. Highly recommend!”

I’ll definitely come back here again

“The CPR instructor was very impressive and passionate. The training was truly helpful for my career. He explained everything clearly and made it easy to understand. When it’s time to renew my CPR & First Aid certification, I’ll definitely come back here again.”

Australia Wide First Aid is one of the country’s most established training centers. It’s been operating for over 30 years and has multiple locations across Brisbane.

This center, in particular, is endorsed by medical bodies, such as the Australian College of Nursing and RACGP. They have also trained thousands of participants, which gives us confidence in their credibility.

For their classes, they offer two types. There’s blended learning for busy workers, and a 5-hour, full-on-site session for those who prefer learning everything in person.

Not to mention, their courses are competitively priced: CPR courses start at $59, while standard first aid training is around $119.

During our interview with their students, the instructors were frequently praised for their infectious energy, which made the classes more fun. Plus, the use of interactive tools like Kahoot quizzes makes the lessons easier to digest.

And when you successfully complete your course, you will receive your digital certificate via email the same day.

However, some people also pointed out that the group sessions sometimes seem disproportionate, with only one instructor. This makes the class feel crowded and less personalized.

Pros

  • 30 years of experience
  • Formally recognized by major medical bodies
  • Competitive pricing
  • Multiple centers in Brisbane
  • Certified instructors
  • Engaging classes
  • Same-day certification

Cons

  • Large group class sizes

By the end of the course, we felt confident and knowledgeable

“We had an amazing experience! Our instructor was incredibly thorough and shared valuable real-world insights from her own experience. She also made sure we had plenty of laughs and fun along the way. By the end of the course, we felt confident and knowledgeable.”

I’ll be back for my renewal

“I could not have asked for a better First Aid Training experience. It was beyond expectations due to our incredible, knowledgeable and caring instructor, Elizabeth. She gave confidence to our whole group and gave so much strength, kindness, and care. I’ll be back for my renewal.”

For over 14 years, Accredited Short Courses has been highly regarded as a high-volume center that trains over 70,000 students annually. They offer a wide range of short courses, including first aid and CPR, with flexible options to suit many schedules.

You will receive lessons from certified trainers, many of whom students actually love for their clarity and for making the technicalities more digestible. However, some trainees also pointed out that the pace is a bit fast and can feel overwhelming.

The classes take place on most days of the week, with a rotating selection of morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. We find the flexibility a big plus, especially for people who can’t commit to a full-day session.

But before you can join the face-to-face classes, you will need to complete the online module first. And once you finish the pre-work and pass your practical, you can expect your digital certificate the same day.

By price, their rates fall in the average range. CPR courses start around $55, while first aid training is around $95 to $120.

Pros

  • 24 years of experience
  • Certified instructors
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Instant certification
  • Fair pricing

Cons

  • Fast learning pace can be overwhelming

Incredibly helpful throughout the session

“Elssy was an excellent instructor for our First Aid and CPR training on 25th Sept 2025 at Bundoora. Elssy is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the session. She explained clearly in detail, and it was easy to follow her instructions. I learnt new and important things today. I feel more confident in my ability to respond in any emergency now. Highly recommend attending her class. Thank you.”

The practical demonstrations were clear and hands-on

“I recently completed a first aid training session with Rajneesh, and it was an excellent experience. The trainer was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the content easy to understand and apply in real-life situations. The practical demonstrations were clear and hands-on, and I left feeling confident in my ability to respond in an emergency. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality first aid training.”
