What I liked most about Door City’s team was their professionalism and patience in explaining the differences between every option they had available.

They don’t just sell doors because they also offer staining and delivery. They make things easier for every homeowner and builder. 

They clearly outlined how solid timber doors differ from engineered-core ones, noting that solid ones handle Brisbane’s humidity better over time. This made it easier for me to choose whichever door fit what I needed most.

Their custom-made entry doors start at around $1200-$1800, depending on timber type and finish, with premium designs reaching $3,000 or more. Installation is also available for an additional $250-$400.

The only real drawback I had with them is the turnaround time. Custom builds typically take 4-6 weeks to finish, as each door is crafted in its very own joinery factory.

Doors Plus has a major showroom in Brisbane, offering both ready-made and custom-built doors. With their “no fuss” process, you can have the same team handle delivery and installation, which was very convenient for me.

Their range covers everything from solid timber entry doors to internal glass composite options. Many of which are pre-finished and ready to install. 

I like that they also offer practical upgrades such as soundproofing and thermal insulation.

Pricing is competitive, starting at around $400-$600 for internal doors and $1000-$1800 for entry doors with installation included. Fortunately, their staff were clear about warranties and timelines, making order processes more straightforward.

The only downside I found was their design variety, as they mostly lean towards modern, with fewer traditional or heritage-inspired options.
