Pros
- Widest array of dance styles to choose from
- Best timetable for adults
Cons
- Some rooms are not air conditioned
- Some lectures are conducted while sitting on the floor
Mad Dance House has the widest array of dance styles to choose from. So we think you don’t have to look elsewhere if you want to learn several types of dances.
Mad Dance House caters to all ages and genders, which makes it a preferred studio for a lot of people. It also has the best timetable for adults since it offers a variety of classes even during weekends.
Another thing students appreciate is the part of the lesson where they’re given dance challenges. The challenges are fun to do and bring out the competitive nature of students so they always look forward to them.
The fees are reasonable too. Given the options you can choose from as well as the amazing instructors, the money you’ll pay is worth it.
We’ve only noticed a couple of things that might become a problem for future students. These things can be easily remedied though if addressed properly
Some rooms are not air conditioned, which can be a turn off to students. Even though dancing is made for sweating, it’s still more comfortable if the room is cool.
While it’s also understandable that some lectures are conducted while sitting on the floor, not all students are comfortable with it. Perhaps the school can provide at least chairs during the lecture part of the classes.

Pros
- Well-ventilated studio
- Instructors has no problems with repeating steps for students
Cons
- Some classes are filmed with no prior announcement
- End-of-the-year concert fee is very expensive
Paradox Dance Studio YCV DANCE is a small dance studio located at Woolloongabba. Despite the size of its studio, it offers classes for both adults and kids, so they cater to students of all ages.
First thing you’ll love about the studio is its instructors who make sure no one is left behind. If there are students who can’t get the steps, the instructor will break it down one by one until they get it.
The students also cheer for one another during dance classes, which makes it a perfect environment for everyone who just wants to learn how to dance. There are also lots of options for classes so there’s always something that can suit your needs.
The studio is also well-decorated and well-ventilated as well. Even if it’s not as huge as the other studios, it’s comfortable to dance in there.
One downside we see is that some classes are filmed without prior announcement. Not everyone is willing to be in front of the camera and this can be quite uncomfortable for some students, so permission should be asked every time.
Another thing we feel that might be inconvenient for you is the end-of-the-year concert. There are no problems when it comes to preparation for the performances, however, the fees for the event are quite expensive.
Still, we recommend Paradox Dance Studio YCV DANCE to anyone who wants quality dance lessons. The year-end expenses might not be worth it, but the techniques and styles you’ll learn definitely are.

Pros
- Students can start any time of the year
- Perfect for beginners
Cons
- Small studio
- Difficult to book through the website
V-Hub Dance is a perfect place for beginners because you can dance your heart out here without the fear of being judged. Every student is free to find their own styles and choreograph their own moves as much as they want to.
Not that there are no formal classes, though – of course there are. In fact, the instructors at the beginner level teach all the basics step-by-step so those who are new to dancing will have the foundation they can use to “step up” later on.
However, it’s worth noting that the instructors are really keen on wanting the students to develop their skills while discovering their preferred styles. This really encourages students and helps them develop a certain confidence required for a performance.
V-Hub Dance is flexible in terms of schedule – you can enroll any time of the year, which is advantageous to those who have no fixed schedule. It’s also located at the heart of Fortitude Valley so it’s accessible to everyone.
It’s also worth noting though that even though the studio offers several classes, it’s not a huge studio. In fact, it’s quite smaller than most so the number of students per class is limited.
You should try to book in advance to reserve a slot. Just a little heads up that it’s a little difficult to book through the website so you might want to try their phone instead.

Pros
- Contemporary, beautiful studio
- Gender-friendly studio
Cons
- Very strict when it comes to dance outfits
- A little expensive
Radiance Dance Academy Australia is quite popular due to its contemporary beautiful studio. It’s equipped with all the facilities you want and need in a dance studio, and that adds to your comfort as a student.
Radiance has some of the best instructors in the area. They’re very professional and follow a system in their classes, yet they also make sure there’s always a less serious part in the lesson so the students can just enjoy it.
It’s also a gender-friendly studio, meaning even boys will enjoy taking dance classes in Radiance. Everyone treats each other as family, so whatever your gender is, it’s a place you’ll feel comfortable with.
In fact, most parents who enroll their kids at Radiance are former students. They enjoyed their time in the school so much that they want their kids to experience what they experienced.
One thing we think that you might find inconvenient is the very strict rules when it comes to dance attires. Though a little understandable, some students might prefer to wear clothes they feel comfortable on instead of what’s needed to be worn.
The tuition is also quite higher than some dance studios around the area. Given the quality of the instructors and the dance classes, the fees could still be reasonable for you though.

Pros
- Has a family vibe
- Central location
Cons
- Limited morning classes
- More suited for kids than adults
Danzart Studio may be a good dance school, but what students love most about it is the supportive atmosphere. Students and teachers treat each other like family, which makes lessons more fun and easy.
In fact, most students love going to school because it doesn’t feel like they’re going to school. They love the perfect mix of serious classes where they get to learn techniques, and the fun practices where they apply the theories they learn from the classes.
The instructors are cool and encourage you to explore your own styles. At the same time, they’re just there ready to assist if you feel like you need a little push.
You’ll also love that the school offers several types of dance styles for a reasonable tuition fee, so it isn’t very heavy on the pocket. You can choose whatever dance class you want to join regardless of your age.
Speaking of age, Danzart Studio also caters to adults, though for us, it’s more suited for kids. The teaching approach is less serious and more nurturing, which might be a little too lenient for adults.
We’re just a little concerned about their timetable because they seem to have limited morning classes. Some students might prefer morning classes, so this might be a little bothersome to those whose schedules are mostly free in the morning.
Still, the pros outweigh the cons. And if you’re looking for a dance studio where you’ll instantly feel welcome and become part of, then you should try Danzart Studio.
