Pros

  • Uses latest diagnostic tools
  • Open four times a week
  • Can accommodate emergency cases

Cons

  • Schedule is always tight
  • Higher price point

Think Neuro is headed by Dr. Anna Sellbach, considered one of the best neurologists in Brisbane. She offers consultations for a wide range of neurological disorders, as well as Botulinum toxin therapy for certain conditions.

Most neurological clinics in the area are open only for two days per week, so we appreciate that Think Neuro is open from Monday to Thursday.

Based on our experience, Dr. Sellbach was extremely kind and pleasant to talk to, two qualities you’d want your neurologist to have. We weren’t surprised to discover that her other patients share our sentiments as well.

Just to add, Dr. Sellbach established Think Neuro as a way to create a warm and friendly environment and assist people dealing with complex neurological disorders. It shows her commitment to her work and her care for her patients.

Think Neuro is able to accommodate after-house emergency cases, which we really appreciate. If Dr. Sellbach is unavailable at that moment, she will arrange another neurologist to look after you as soon as possible.

Obviously, Dr. Sellbach is the only doctor at Think Neuro, scheduling an appointment can be a bit difficult. It doesn’t help that appointments can only be made after your referral has been received.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Free parking
  • Discounts for pensioners

Cons

  • Small clinic, so limited manpower
  • Setting an appointments can be difficult

With a medical career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Melinda Pascoe is one of the most in-demand neurologists in Brisbane. She makes sure that she’s always updated with the medical technology to better serve her patients.

Dr. Pascoe’s expertise covers a wide range of neurological illnesses, but she focuses on neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disease. She’s healed thousands of patients with difficult-to-diagnose disorders, which says a lot about her skills as a doctor.

Although Dr. Pascoe rates are significantly higher than that of other neurologists in the area, we believe that you’ll get the value for your hard-earned money when you choose her as your doctor.

Just to add, pensioners and people with disabilities are given a special discount. This is amazing considering how expensive neurological treatments can get here in Australia.

We’re not sure how this benefits patients with neurological disorders, but Dr. Pascoe offers private botox and fillers too. We think she just does this on the side.

Lastly, it’s quite difficult to book an appointment with Dr. Pascoe, so you might want to book weeks ahead. Worry not though because her customer service is friendly and they can help you find an appointment date that works with your schedule.

Pros

  • Advanced diagnostics
  • Well-awarded neurologist
  • Reasonable rates

Cons

  • No consultations
  • Open only on Tuesdays

Dr. Cullen O’Gorman is one of the most referred neurologists in Brisbane, so we had to book an appointment to find out why. When it comes to expertise, he certainly doesn’t fall short.

From muscle diseases to cerebrovascular disease, and even speech and language disorders, Dr. O’Gorman can make sense of your condition with his dedicated electrodiagnostic service.

He’s one of the few neurologists in Brisbane that offers advanced electrodiagnostic testing. This probably explains why he’s referred to patients by many fellow neurologists!

We appreciate that the diagnostics results are released within the day, so there’s little to no waiting time. Unlike with other clinics, we didn’t have to spend a good amount of time being anxious about the results!

However, Dr. O’Gorman doesn’t do consultations, which we think is kind of unusual for a neurologist. In this clinic, he only offers advanced electrodiagnostic testing for a range of neurological disorders.

Booking an appointment can be difficult with Dr. O’Gorman as well considering that he’s only open on Tuesdays. You might need to book an appointment weeks in advance, or months ahead if his schedule is tight.

Pros

  • Large clinic
  • Friendly and accommodating staff
  • Open 5 days a week

Cons

  • Higher price point
  • Booking and cancellation problems

Dr. Nicole Limberg leads Migraine Specialists, one of the largest dedicated headache clinics in Queenslands. This is where you want to go if you’ve been dealing with unbearable chronic migraines.

Dr. Limberg isn’t just any other neurologist in Brisbane! She’s participated as an investigator in several researches on chronic migraine therapy and has contributed to the efficacy of injection therapy for migraine treatments in the country.

At Migraine Specialists, every patient will experience a unique migraine treatment journey, tailored to their own condition.

Another thing we like about Dr. Limberg’s clinic is how patient everyone is in answering our questions, no matter how repetitive we get. We were kept in the loop throughout the duration of our treatment.

Not only do each patient get comprehensively assessed, each one receives patient education and support during and after their treatment.

Although Migraine Specialists accepts Medicare and other insurance, their consultations and treatments are more expensive than that of other neurology clinics in Brisbane. If budget isn’t a concern for you, then we strongly recommend this one.

5. Dr. Alexander Lehn

Pros

  • Reliable customer service
  • Open 5 days a week
  • Efficient booking system

Cons

  • Expensive services
  • Complains about the attitude of other medical staff

Dr. Alexander Lehn is one of the top neurologists at Brisbane Clinical Neuroscience Centre. It may not be a clinic for those with limited budgets, but we still had to include it for the impressive talent of its neurologists.

You can consult with Dr. Lehn if you have tremors or experience any movement problems. He focuses on movement disorders and functional neurological disorders, and can help diagnose and treat them.

Neurological conditions are quite difficult to understand if you don’t have any background in medicine, so we appreciate that Dr. Lehn and the other neurologists at BCNC are extremely detailed in their explanations.

Even though BCNC is a popular neurology clinic, we didn’t encounter any problem when booking an appointment. This isn’t something you can say about other neurology clinics in Brisbane.

Another thing we like is that BNCB operates five days a week, which we believe contributes to its hassle-free appointment system.

The only qualm we have with this clinic is that its rates are far more expensive than its competitors. We understand this, though, considering that it’s an in-demand clinic that houses some of the best neurologists in Brisbane
