Pros
- Great customer service
- Offers unlimited consultation
- Flexible fee structure
- Competitive legal rates
Cons
- Limited manpower
- Lawyers sometimes handle multiple cases at once
From visa applications to visa appeals, the guys at Emerson Migration Law can help you out! Although it’s a small boutique law firm, the extent of its services can be likened to that of bigger and more established firms in the country.
Visa application might be an extremely physically and emotionally tiring process, so having a supportive lawyer helping you out can take some of the stress off of your shoulders. We appreciate that we felt supported throughout the entire process.
Now, as a small law firm, its manpower is limited. However, you can expect that every person in its legal team are experts in immigration law and processes, even the younger ones!
We liked that our lawyers always gave us insightful advice and guidance throughout our visa application process. They were incredibly patient with our never-ending, sometimes stupid, questions.
Another thing we like about Emerson Migration Law is that they’re transparent about their legal fees, which are posted on their website. They offer a flexible fee structure for those who don’t have the means to settle the payment upfront.
What makes this law firm unique is the unlimited consultations! We’ve yet to see another law firm in the area that allows clients to consult anytime, without additional fees!
The only issue we have with Emerson Migration Law is that their lawyers work multiple cases at once. This is quite given since they’re a small law firm with a small legal team, so we don’t really have a problem with this.

Condor Migration is one of the only Brisbane-based law firms on Google Reviews that hold a perfect score, so we went to find out why. Here’s everything we discovered about this law firm:
First off, its legal team is made up of English, Mandarin, Cantonese, German, Spanish, and Portuguese speakers. A group of lawyers with different native tongues can come in handy when you’re applying for a visa!
That also means that Condor Migration can work with clients of any nationality, not just English speakers.
Condor Migration has been helping people secure and appeal visas for over 16 years, assisting both individuals and corporations. We especially like how accommodating they are to new customers.
In fact, our calls and emails were promptly answered within the day. The quick and detailed response enabled us to quickly understand how we stand in our application and what we need to do to succeed in our case.
The journey to securing a visa isn’t always a smooth road, so we’re glad to have been supported by such smart and caring people.
All these make Condor Migration seem like a perfect choice on paper, but once you’ve seen their legal fees, you might want to think twice. In our opinion, though, these guys will give you the value of your hard-earned money, down to the last cent.

- Limited manpower and legal knowledge
Hiring an immigration lawyer in Brisbane can break the bank, so we couldn’t be happier to have discovered Salvo Migration. If you can’t afford a lawyer yet, these guys can offer you cheaper alternatives suitable for all budgets.
Salvo Migration is among the few law firms in Brisbane that specialise in partner visas. They boast a 99% success rate, which is the first thing you want to hear when you’re looking for an immigration lawyer.
Over the past seven years, Salvo Migration has worked with many nationalities. This means that their lawyers have a bit of a background on how lenient or tight some countries are when it comes to granting partner visas.
More than its solid track record, what we really love about Salvo Migration is how friendly and helpful their legal team is. They’re always happy to answer all of your immigration-related questions, even those with obvious answers.
The only problem we have with Salvo Migration is that it’s not a well-rounded law firm, so you might not be able to ask for their help when it comes to tourist or skilled worker visas.
If you only need assistance in applying for a partner visa, then Salvo Migration is more than an excellent option that can help you get a favourable response.

Credibility | 4.8/5 |
Availability | 4.5/5 |
Response time | 4.5/5 |

Pros
- Prominent law firm in Brisbane
- Wide scope of expertise
- Trusted by many clients
- Reliable customer service
Cons
- Expensive legal services
- Deals with many clients
- Booking an appointment can be difficult
We love that Welch Law has built a network of clients mostly from referrals, which says a lot about the quality of their legal services. They even take pride in the fact that the majority of their clients are referred to them by others.
Whether you need assistance in applying for an employer-sponsored visa or help in visa appeals, the guys at Welch Law can give you the guidance that you might need. All of their lawyers have years of experience in immigration law under their belts.
Australia’s immigration law is complex and confusing, but you don’t have to worry about anything if you have Welch Law by your side. Their legal team is helpful and their attention to detail is second to none.
During our initial consultation, our lawyers laid out facts and the worst and best case scenarios in order to manage our expectations. We appreciate that everything was explained to us in detail, allowing us to understand our position.
Another thing we like is that we’re able to consult either personally and through Zoom. This is a great offer if you don’t have time to drop by their office.
However, these don’t mean that Welch Law is a perfect law firm. While legal experience and customer service are excellent, we found that their legal fees were quite inaccessible, especially for lower-income families.
We do understand why their rates were high given that they are one of the most in-demand law firms in Brisbane. That said, if financing is a huge factor for you, then you might want to look for other options that match your budget.
